Yesterday, my 15-year-old son saw a roadrunner and commented that it was an unusual bird. "Meep! Meep! Just like the cartoon," I said as we stopped to observe it. "That's a real bird?? I thought it was just a cartoon," he said bewildered.

The egg belongs to an emu. Here's a video of it. Here in the video, it is the male that's brooding over the eggs. Once female emus lay eggs, they leave it to the male and start looking for another male. After mating, they lay eggs for that one to look after too. They keep doing this as much as they can till the mating season is over. It's the male that'll look after the eggs and the chicks when they hatch. The female only lays egg and move on. Tainkyu ✌🏾
