But they would start using more normal tee distances. And shorter courses. Less walking back to obnoxiously dumb tee boxes. This guy missed the entire idea.

They could very well regain all distance that is lost within 1-2 years after a roll back.

Bifurcate. Shrink driver heads for elite men’s golfers. Make it harder to hit the sweet spot on the driver swinging out of your shoes and have negative consequences for off center hits.

I no longer revere the USGA. They banned long putters because they wer ugly, not because they were an unfair advantage. They’re going to stupidly dial the ball back. And if you have experience with USGA competitions, they arbitrarily enforce their own rules.

I think the USGA should enforce limits on strength training. You cannot lift anything over 10 lbs and play on tour.
