The roundworm has a brain, 302 neurons, tiny but real. A Dileptus has none. It's a single cell. No brain, no nerves, nothing. Yet both turn, back up, poke around, change their minds. If a single cell can explore with no brain, where does intelligence actually live?

One thinks with proteins the other thinks with neurons.

Every rock, droplet of water, grain of sand, any atom, electron, everything is a piece of global cosmic universal intelligence.

Microtubules of course

Machine learning proved intelligence is just a process which means it can be almost anywhere.

Our bodies and cells are antennas and receive data; our consciousness is not physical.

Just because some single-celled organisms have evolved organelle-based mechanisms for intelligent behavior it doesn't mean that the rest of us, creatures that use neurons, produce their intelligent behavior through some other mechanism. We 100% use neurons for our intelligent behavior. You can have a very complex single cell, or a bunch of simple cells producing complexity together.

Explore is a big word for drifting around.

Imagine an RNA machine/viroid that functions like a Turing machine with a small code book and tiny tape. The body built of code is both the codebook and the read/write heads. It detects proteins, assembles copies, maybe even re-writes other RNA strands. All reflexive compute.

Lemme guess… it’s gonna be a robot that can flip pancakes or something.

probably just has neurons that we can't understand or see yet.

Model wise: the mechanics or the reason why agency occurs is irrelevant. It behaves as a primitive and should be modelled as such. It is what adaptive, information processing, complex systems separates from machines.

Does it live up your mom’s butt?

Intelligence probably emerge from a hyperdimensional subatomic field. Photons are already units of intelligence. All matter, all energy. Every galaxy, and star, all the planets in the universe, it's all one big brain.

Consciousness is streamed

Peut-être que cette créature connait la colère, la joie, la peur, joue et aime...

the most primitive forms of intelligence can live inside single cell organisms, but as you scale up you'll need a more structural solution

I wouldn’t consider poking around intelligence. It’s what you do with the information you’ve received.

Reminds me of male and female like behavior. If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck.

atom da düşünüyor, haz duyuyor.

Basic decision making isn't 'intelligence'. Lots of things can make decisions and work off of basic logic. Computers, neurons, chemical reactions, geometric shapes, etc. Now if these 302 neurons can form memories and adapt to future scenarios, that's intelligence.

Watch this makes my skin crawl

it's intelligent agential material all the way down

In the heart

In the loop

Wdym change their mind? Like they have none... Oh wait mind is beyond brain, like how spirit is

"Life finds a way"

Bilincin beyne değil, beynin bilince ihtiyacı var dostum... Yani beyin bilinç üreticisi değil tam tersine bilinç tüketicisidir... Bilinci ithal eder...
