I am delighted to have had the chance to put Runcorn and Helsby front and centre in the House of Commons yesterday. Reform MPs do not often get the opportunity to secure a debate, so I used mine to call on the Government to consider a dedicated apprenticeship hub for Runcorn. Our young people deserve local, practical routes into skilled jobs with the excellent employers on their doorstep. Runcorn has huge potential. It now needs the opportunity to match.

Small local businesses such as transport and delivery firms have no choice but to use the bridges every day and are being unfairly penalised compared with businesses elsewhere. I urged the Minister to expand the current discount scheme to include them, and he has promised to look into it. #runcorn #ReformUK
