The same head ref that ruled this not a touchdown is officiating the Tennessee - Ohio State game.

It kind of looks like forward progress was stopped. Not sure why people stopped saying “forward progress” when it is an indicator of being down.

If forward progress was stopped then how does the ball magically cross the goal line a second later.

Forward progress was stopped, play was blown dead and then the reach happened. Looks like a good call to me

And i love that the explanation that we got was that “the play is not over when the whistle is blown,” its over at an arbitrary moment in time inside the refs head when he subjectively decides its over.

It was just a horrendous ending to a great game.
