Canada has strick gun control. 90% of firearm violence in Canada is done by criminals with illegal firearms. Gun control doesn’t stop this problem.

I don't want government, especially THIS government, deciding who is and is not allowed to have a gun. We can have gun control and the 2nd Amendment at the same time. It's not that hard.

I know what real tyranny looks like.

The second amendment was not meant to be bared against the government. It was essentially how we had a defense in a time that we did not have a standing army

It's treason unless it works. Just like the American Revolution. No one calls it the British Treason.

@ladielabrys2 Getting rid of the 2nd amendment would be political suicide and that party would never get elected again lol

nah, i do genuinely believe that the second amendment ought to be a thing in the case of genuine tyranny. but yeah, not having what would constitute tyranny or enough people to warrant the exercising of those rights is a massive problem and gap in the law.

Charlie just got murdered and I’m fairly certain that murder is already illegal, just saying, outlawing things doesn’t stop people from doing them, only the law abiding. Sort of like how knives are illegal in Europe and all you ever hear about are stabbings

That is a terrible argument. Yes that is EXACTLY the process behind it. Why? Because the alternative is the government is ACTUALLY tyrannical and you don't have the means with which to defend yourself. So you don't get to stop them and they brutalize you because they have guns

The ‘circular argument Olympics’ gold medal goes to anyone who claims the Second Amendment creates tyranny while claiming tyranny can’t exist!

This video did one thing and one thing only: point out how fucking awful Democracy actually is when in actual practice. Democracies in history failed when they became stagnant and clearly people need a dip back into imperialism and authoritarianism to wake up about balancing it.

1775 was the last time we cared what a guy with a British accent said. We had guns, you’all tried to take them at Lexington and Concord Look it up

Trying to outlaw the 2A because ‘political violence is bad’ is like banning brakes because cars exist. #Fail

The Second Amendment was created to allow the arming of slavers, both to keep their generational victims in line, and to haul them back when they escape.

What amazes me is that people think this dude bought that gun legally. Gun "LAWS" only affect "LAWABIDING" people. If you make a law banning guns "CRIMINALS" will still have guns because they *ahem* DONT FOLLOW THE LAWS! To be a criminal you have to NOT FOLLOW THE LAW. WORDS

The problem with abolishing the second amendment is that it’s too late. There are WAYYYY too many guns out there now. If it was abolished 100 years ago you can argue that could have worked. But today? No chance.

Not bad argument. There is some truth to that. But have a chat with people who fleed Soviet Union or China..

Yes. And you would know what a tyranical government looks like if you went to China, North Korea, Vietnam, or Cuba. These are places where the people have no input on the future of their government. They are actively repressed. The first thing very one of those countries did was disarm their populace.

This is the stupidest argument because of wait for it....history. The US has had 1 government. Since the beginning. One of the worst argument for gun control yet.

If democracy needs gun control than democracy is immoral & ought to be abolished.

Nope, not gonna take our 2A, you just want us dead after you take our means to defend ourselves.

You keep chasing your tail: disarm citizens, ignore tyranny, debate numbers, end up praising the same chaos you started with. That’s called circular stupidity!

one's profile picture

YOU LOW IQ IDIOTS!! It’s not for ‘two people vs. the government.’ It’s the constitutional insurance policy against tyranny, recognized by a broad, organized populace, not spoiled Twitter mobs. Confuse that, and you’re just arguing for your own disarmament!

The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants - Thomas Jefferson Violence is the underlying reality of all political will and having the power in the hands of the citizens maintains the balance against authoritarianism
