This family was at the beach. They got there early and set up in front so they could watch their kids play in the water. Then this family shows up and they set up in front of them. 🤯 There was no one to the left or the right of them. Clear as could be. 😳 A lot of people said they should have moved closer so no one could set up in front of them. But many others said if the beach was open and there was no one to the left or right of them then that is just plain rude. I always leave a little sand in front in case my kids want to play or we usually throw our boogie boards in front. I’d have been irritated and would have asked them to move. 💯 What do you think? Was it rude of the second family to take their view away and set up in front of them or is it the first family’s fault for not setting up closer so no one could be in front of them?

One thing I will say, that many know to be true, but are loathe to acknowledge, is that the skyline of Lower Manhattan was forever changed. It was rebuilt, and to the eyes of those who were born shortly before or during the last quarter century, it appears quite normal. But it never recovered; and what is today, is a relatively poor substitute for what once was. There’s a poignancy to that, taken in isolation from the political and cultural considerations that often hold sway…

My initial problem with Liquid Glass was that it was terrible for accessibility despite how beautiful it looks it certain places. There is literally only one way to solve this readability issue – make the glass frosted/opaque. And from the public backlash that Apple received it was pretty obvious that it was a matter of time before they made this change. The problem now is that when you make it opaque, it barely looks any different from iOS 18, yet it keeps eating up resources and draining your battery. 3 betas in, and I still feel like this design direction was a big mistake.

Michael had never claimed to have invented the moonwalk. “I was sitting in the back of a limousine staring out the window and I saw these kids standing around taking turns dancing and that’s where I saw it. One of them was doing the moonwalk. I had to get out and see it up close so I told the driver to stop and back up. I got out and crossed the street their corner of the sidewalk and asked him to show me how it was done and he did. I can’t ever take credit for it. It was that group of kids that taught me.”
