A big part of the value of voluntary chaos is that it creates evidence of your ability to handle it. When involuntary chaos strikes, you know how to deal with it. Pause, breathe, act. It’s just another rep, you’ve done it before.

P.S. While your parents teach you the importance of adaptability, they may still get nervous seeing you embrace it. 🤣🤣🤣

The ability to smile through chaos is a legitimate competitive advantage.

I had a college teammate who would bust out this big grin when we were in the depths of a bad workout. I’d be simultaneously terrified (how the hell is he smiling right now?) and inspired (we can do this!). I’d never want to fight that guy, but I’d go to war with him all day.

There's a famous saying: "No plan survives first contact with the enemy." Too many get their dopamine from the planning. Too few get their dopamine from the doing. Plan a bit, then make first contact with "your enemy" and start adapting fast.

These cold plunges still worry me! Mom

LOL love you, Mom. ❤️

The older I get the more I realize how true this is man. Life is so unpredictable. You have to be ready at all times to go with it.

Same, facts

Especially in a world that’s changing as fast as it is if you don’t adapt you’ll get left behind.
