One of the brightest meteors can turn an ordinary night into a moment you'll never forget. 🌠 The Perseid meteor shower is still active across the Northern Hemisphere, and its brightest members — fireballs — can occasionally leave striking trails across the sky. The 2026 peak has passed, but the shower continues through August 24. Find a dark sky. Look up. You might get lucky. 📍 Utah, USA

A spectacular “Ring of Fire” just blazed across the Antarctic sky today, February 17, 2026 — the first solar eclipse of the year, and a rare annular one that turned the Sun into a blazing celestial halo. In this stunning alignment, the Moon slipped between Earth and the Sun but — because it was near the farther point in its elliptical orbit (close to apogee) — appeared slightly smaller than the Sun's disk. Instead of total darkness, a brilliant ring of sunlight encircled the Moon's dark silhouette, creating that iconic fiery annulus for up to about 2 minutes and 20 seconds at maximum. The path of true annularity carved a narrow corridor roughly 616 km (383 miles) wide and 4,282 km (2,661 miles) long across the icy expanse of Antarctica — one of the most remote and inhospitable places on Earth. Very few humans witnessed the full “Ring of Fire”: perhaps a handful at research stations like Concordia Station, where the peak hit around 19:47 local time (12:13 UTC / 7:13 a.m. EST), with the Sun about 96% obscured.Everywhere else in the vast southern regions, the eclipse appeared as a dramatic partial bite taken from the Sun. Partial phases were visible across:Much of southern Africa (including South Africa, Mozambique, Madagascar) The southern tips of Argentina and Chile Broad swaths of the Southern Ocean, Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans The event kicked off with the first partial shadows around 09:56 UTC, reached maximum at 12:13 UTC, and wrapped up by 14:27 UTC — a roughly 4.5-hour celestial dance viewed from half a hemisphere away.Astronomy enthusiasts and scientists alike marveled at the precision of orbital mechanics on display: the Moon's apparent size just shy of perfect coverage, the Sun's corona faintly visible around the edges in safe-filtered views, and the eerie dimming of daylight in partial zones. This remote spectacle kicks off what many are calling a golden age of eclipses — with a total solar eclipse coming up on August 12, 2026 (visible from Greenland, Iceland, and northern Spain), followed by more totals and annulars through 2028.A reminder of cosmic rhythm: even in the harshest, loneliest corners of our planet, the universe puts on a show of breathtaking beauty and perfect timing.(Sources: NASA eclipse resources, Wikipedia Solar Eclipse of February 17, 2026, EarthSky, and related astronomical reports.)

🇪🇸🇮🇸 A rare total solar eclipse is hitting parts of Europe today, with millions getting a chance to watch the sky go dark. Iceland and northern Spain are among the best spots, with totality lasting around 2 minutes. Spain gets an especially wild view because the eclipse happens right before sunset, turning the sun into a thin crescent as it drops below the horizon. Much of the rest of Europe, Canada, the northern U.S. and northwestern Africa will still get a partial eclipse. The universe is showing off tonight, with the Perseid meteor shower peaking just hours after the eclipse. Source: CNN / Writer: Julie

They call it coincidence; I call it a sign in the sky! Our generation witnessed one of the rarest signs in the sky when the Hale-Bopp comet appeared in 1995 and stayed for 18 months. The comet was clearly visible even from cities where there is light pollution. The last time this comet was visible was during the 4.2 kiloyear event and the collapse of the old world, including the Indus Valley Civilization, the Akkadian Empire, and the Egyptian Kingdom. This was the time of our father Abraham and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. In 1997, when the comet appeared again in the sky, the geomagnetic excursion and the decline of the magnetic field accelerated. The movement of the North Pole reached a speed of 55 miles per year, which is equivalent to the Laschamp geomagnetic excursion. We are about to witness another civilizational reset soon!

Just as the world witnessed Bagurumba and was left mesmerised by the performance of 10,000 Bodos, one young girl was seen enjoying her favourite pork just after the event. On the last day, Govt. arranged pork for participants, as it’s their favourite.

In the final chapters of the Book of Revelation, the end of the age is described as a massive confrontation between the forces of good and evil. The text says the kings and armies of the world gather for a final battle in a place called Armageddon. Yes, a place. According to the vision recorded by John of Patmos, strange signs appear in the sky, angels descend, and powerful figures emerge as the crazy battle between "godly" and worldly powers. The scene is filled with dramatic weird imagery including thunder, fire, and cosmic chaos as gods and earth seem to collide. The story goes on with Christ returning with heavenly armies to smash the forces against him, including the figures known as the Antichrist and the false prophet. After the battle the enemies of God are defeated and a period of judgment begins. The vision then moves toward a renewal of creation, where the old world passes away and a new reality emerges described as a new heaven and a new earth. The final chapters kinda show a symbolic picture of restoring justice after a time of horsesh*t and conflict. Are we on the cusp?

$Blue Ghost turns red! Our lander downlinked more imagery from the Moon captured around 2:30 am CDT during the totality of the solar eclipse last night. These images - rapidly captured by our top deck camera with different exposure settings - were stitched together in a quick clip. The red hue is the result of sunlight refracting through the Earth's atmosphere as the sun is blocked by our planet, casting a shadow on the lunar surface. The glowing ring of the eclipse is again seen on Blue Ghost’s solar panel. #BGM1$

Footage shows the first-ever collision of a comet with a planet witnessed by humans. The power of the collision exceeded 750 times all the nuclear weapons accumulated on Earth at the time (July 1994). The impact area was several times greater than the diameter of the Earth.
