T-5 days until Blue Ghost says goodbye to Earth! With the accuracy we achieved on our first two burns, we were able to skip the third Earth orbit maneuver. Blue Ghost is already in a good position to perform our trans-lunar injection in just under a week. Our #GhostRiders continue to capture some incredible shots of our home planet along the way. #BGM1

In the absence of an atmosphere, objects travel unimpeded to our satellite's surface; upon impact, they trigger such flashes. These are clearly visible in the shadows, as the illuminated side is extremely bright. 🪐

As scientists prepare for the total solar eclipse set to cross Greenland, Iceland, and Spain on August 12, 2026, NASA has announced a specialized scientific campaign to study the Sun's atmosphere. The space agency will deploy specialized WB-57 high-altitude research aircraft flying at 50,000 feet directly along the path of totality. The eclipse was visible from the South Pole in the zodiac constellation of Pisces, the Fish, a symbol of Jesus Christ, announcing the beginning of the Age of Pisces and the rise of Christianity. I tracked the date and recorded the eclipse shown on the left. Exactly 2,000 years later, in the third month of the year 2033, there will be another solar eclipse. This time, it will be visible from the North Pole at the end of the zodiac constellation of Pisces, announcing the end of the Age of Pisces. What is particularly interesting is that the Morning Star, the planet Venus, is visible during both solar eclipses, exactly 2,000 years apart and in the same month. Video from the asteroid! In 2018, the Hayabusa-2 spacecraft deployed small rovers onto the surface of the asteroid Ryugu. This is a sequence of 15 frames captured by Rover-1B. As the asteroid rotates, the position of the Sun and the surface lighting change. The video spans a period of one hour and 14 minutes.
