Today is Australian National Flag Day. But in Parliament, I was ordered to take off our national flag. I moved a simple motion: let senators wear the Australian flag with pride, especially today. Labor and the Greens shut it down. They called it a "prop". They mocked it. And they made it clear: They don’t respect our flag. They don’t respect what it stands for. This is the first time the flag of an independent and free Artsakh was raised in 1992 in Stepanakert. 🇦🇲 May this flag never leave our hearts. May it guide us and give us strength so that we right the wrongs we have committed. May it become a spark that unites a nation. May it become a flag that forever inspires an unrelenting struggle for a just cause.
