@TheCinesthetic "Pine Barrens" is a masterpiece. The tension, the dark humor, and the unforgettable dialogue make it one of the best episodes in TV history.

Most people love the Pine Barrens episode but, it is probably one of my least favorites. It was a clunky storyline that really didn’t fit in with the show. There was not really any reference in previous episodes or following episodes. It was acted well it just didn’t fit in.

I respectfully disagree. Pine Barrens is an atypical episode. I think White Caps is superior

As a kid, his father used to take him and his brothers to racetracks in Atlantic City, sometimes driving through the Pine Barrens and filling their heads with stories about the Jersey Devil and people disappearing in the woods. Years later, that memory turned into the idea: what if mobsters took a man into the Pine Barrens to dispose of a body—but the victim turned out to be alive, escaped into the woods, and the mobsters ended up lost themselves?
