True. However, the system has done it with full cooperation from fellow blacks. Unless we start taking responsibility we'll sing this song for centuries to come. As we speak now, black people are flooding our TV screens with adverts for alcohol and betting. Right now, blacks are defending a Podcaster for dishing out vile content. Now I know any time I defend Black men it’s going to create friction because some people want to highlight everything they don’t like about Black men. I think there are Black men pleading with Democrats to stop diminishing the role of Black men. There are Black men saying we have specific policies we want to see. There are Black men saying before we give support we want conversation. When those men are ignored, some of them choose to rebel. You can ignore what I’m saying, but I’m a man who talks to brothers every day. If we are going to build a path forward, it’s going to be rooted in Black people men and women having equitable footing.
