The Thar isn’t the problem , the mindset behind its steering wheel is. But somehow, the moment some people sit in a Thar, discipline disappears and ego takes over. Driving a Thar into a river or the sea isn’t adventure or style.

A Thar driver first ran the vehicle over a student’s leg and then went on to completely smash an electric pole. SP sahab was absolutely right about the Thar. Once people get behind the wheel of a Thar, even otherwise sensible individuals seem to lose all sense and responsibility. This is not power. This is reckless behaviour and it puts innocent lives at risk.

In India no offense, but especially among Thar and Scorpio owners there’s a noticeable tendency where they just can’t seem to handle seeing someone else driving a more expensive car or bike. If you’re behind the wheel of something like a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, they’ll often go out of their way to overtake you just to feed their ego. As someone who’s been into off-roading for years, I’ve seen it firsthand Thar drivers, in particular, can get aggressive, flashing middle fingers or picking fights for no real reason. Just a suggestion, or rather my advice: install dashcams on your vehicles Especially in situations like these where egos flare up on the road, having video evidence can be a lifesaver. 🙏🏻 It’s just a certain mindset, and honestly, it’s not worth engaging with.

On Friday, a Thar rammed into a vegetable cart, spilling vegetables across the road and injuring a passerby. Locals caught the driver, who was reportedly under the influence of alcohol.
