It was a horrible deal for the United States. It was a deal where billions of dollars was given to Iran. It was a deal where 1.7 billion in cash was put on a Boeing 7, well, not a 7, 7, 57, I guess, right? But it was put on a big, beautiful Boeing 757. They needed a Boeing 747 to be honest with you, because it was a lot of cash. 1.7 billion was taken out of the banks and given to Iran, and on top of that, tens of billions of dollars was made. So they tried to bribe them to make a deal that didn't work. It never works. And that we lived on a great job, and hopefully it's going to be a good relationship, and we're going to get along. “How did the American Dream die? How did the Middle Class die? I'm going to tell you” Every person in America needs to understand this - It started in the 1980s with trickle down economics that did not work. They decided to give tax cuts to the rich incorporation saying that money would trickle down. It didn't. It just made the rich richer - Then we greenlit stock buybacks so instead of when the productivity was going up, instead of giving workers more money, they just bought back their stock so the shareholders could make profit and executives could get bonuses - Then we had leveraged buyouts and the government didn't regulate leverage buyouts. And that was the start of private equity basically buying up everything so that they could make more money - Then we moved away from pensions to 401ks which essentially just took the responsibility and accountability of the company to take care of their workers with the retirement and put it on to individuals. But we were never taught economics in high school. So how the f*ck are we supposed to know about compound interest and investing? But they said the 401k was better than the pension, when it wasn't - Then they started shipping our jobs overseas, building the middle class of other countries so that they could make more profit destroying the middle class here. Then we started ramping up the borrowing money and getting into debt as a country which devalues our dollar. - Then in 2008 we had predatory lending which crashed the housing market, fucked over so many Americans. And then we used taxpayer money to bail out the banks. And when all the houses were cheap, the the rich went and bought those up. And that's when you started to see the rent start to increase around the 2010s into the 2015s - Then in 2011 we allowed super PACs to exist so billionaires can now buy elections and they use that money on attack ads. Which divides the country. Divide and conquer. And that's what they did - In 2020 we had the pandemic which both sides of the aisle handled like absolute shit. Shut down all small businesses, all the money went to the top. The rich got richer. They printed trillions of dollars more which people needed. But what did all the people do? We spent the money cause we needed to spend the money. And where did that money go? To the top. And they got richer. - Lastly they decided during the pandemic let's lower the interest rates on buying a home to 2 and a half to 3% so that people could refinance and get ahead. But no, all that really did was give the green light to a bunch of rich people to basically borrow free money. And buy up all the f*cking housing so that we can no longer own a home. And that all ended in 2021. Then we've experienced 25% inflation since the pandemic and here we are in 2025, and we no longer have a middle class, and the American dream is dead.”

We found the clip of Andrew Ross Sorkin breaking the Dan Loeb Sony story live on CNBC in 2013, 15 minutes after it happened. It was one of my favorite stories from the conversation with Dan. "The first time we invested in it, it was basically a conglomerate. It had obviously the main Sony studios. It had a semiconductor business, a life insurance business, the consumer electronics. So we advised them to separate these businesses. We met with the management team. We had a big deck that we went through. At the end of the meeting, we told them, "Well, in the interest of transparency, we shared our investment thesis with The New York Times." They went into a panic when we told them about that. Andrew Ross Sorkin wrote the story and agreed to embargo it until the Japanese market closed. The story came out, and they had prearranged us to go on a tour of their innovation center. But before we went on the innovation center, Kaz Hirai (CEO of Sony) looked at me, he says, "You told The New York Times?" I said, "Yeah, but just The New York Times, nobody else." He says, "Okay, just The New York Times." It was wild. We were walking around the innovation center looking at our BlackBerrys when the story went everywhere. They really pushed back on everything that we recommended. It took them about five years, and I think one by one, they've done many of the things."

We used our limited break time to practice and make it a different show, so that the fans could feel awed. 🐰: I was going to say the same thing as P'Mi. 🦊: Really? 🐰: Yeah. 🦊: It was a pretty amazing shot. 🐰: Yeah, it was a moment that we didn't dance the same on both days. 🦊: And we thought that very morning like, why don't we make the shows not the same? 🐰: Yeah. And when we were doing the (photo) benefits, the fans might've seen us looking dazed. We were dazed, but inside we were thinking, what should we do? What should we do? 🦊: What should we do for the fans to be even more excited? 🐰: We were reviewing the moves in our head. 🎤: There was a comment just now saying, "You did amazing. The shows were not the same." 🦊: We were a bit anxious, bc we didn't have time to do a run through at all. We practiced in the room and then performed it on stage. In a recent interview with Press Box PR, Raphaël Colantonio, the founder of Arcane Studios, shared his experience of working with Valve on the cancelled Half-Life 2 expansion called "Return to Ravenholm": “It took us a decade to move on from the pain of the Ravenholm project because we were incredibly excited about doing that game and we put in a lot of creative energy into it and eventually when the decision was made to cut it, we did not understand it as it happened. We were young and we were just refusing to see the reality of the situation and the reality was much simpler than the way it looked to us. It all came down to the economics behind Half Life 2 and how the DLCs were selling. They had a business ratio between how much they could spend and how they could make it to be worth it to them because it takes the attention of the entire structure on their side. They had tried to create something internally and then they had tried with an external team already in America but it did not work out because they were too expensive so they worked with us because they liked our work and we worked with them during that time. They thought, you know, why not try these guys? We seemed pretty effective and eventually, like the two other attempts that they had looked at, we went somewhere with it, and it was cool. What we had was really, really cool. But it still needed more time, and too much time to finish. Beyond it being cool there was a business call at some point where it was decided that it didn’t really make sense. It was very painful for us but it made sense, we grew up and got a little bit more mature about it.”

My cousins and my brother and I were exploring Coney Island, we saw the sights, hung out at the arcades and before we went back to the apartment we decided to go and get something to eat, we had some money on us but not much so we decided to see what we could get at one of the vendors. This was back in the early 90’s when most of them had dollar slices of pizza wherever we went. So we got 4 pieces of pizza, should have been $4 because that’s the price we were used to. The guy wanted to charge us $24 at $6 a slice. We argues with him because one of my cousins already took a bite being so hungry. But at the least we owed $4. We gave the other slices back and refused them but had to pay for the partially eaten one, it was embarrassing that an adult would try that on a bunch of kids. We told our uncle what happened and he went back and yelled at the vendor. He was familiar with them because he used to get slices all the time from the same guy and he never charged my uncle that price. I couldn’t imagine paying that exurban amount, like this guy who was being charged $54 for a hotdog by one of the vendors. At first he thought it was a typo and it was $5.40 but the vendor. Learned it up when he said no it was $54. Would you have paid that amount? I would have walked away, clearly he was trying to possibly scam a the man for looking like a tourist. My cousins and my brother and I were exploring Coney Island, we saw the sights, hung out at the arcades and before we went back to the apartment we decided to go and get something to eat, we had some money on us but not much so we decided to see what we could get at one of the vendors. This was back in the early 90’s when most of them had dollar slices of pizza wherever we went. So we got 4 pieces of pizza, should have been $4 because that’s the price we were used to. The guy wanted to charge us $24 at $6 a slice. We argues with him because one of my cousins already took a bite being so hungry. But at the least we owed $4. We gave the other slices back and refused them but had to pay for the partially eaten one, it was embarrassing that an adult would try that on a bunch of kids. We told our uncle what happened and he went back and yelled at the vendor. He was familiar with them because he used to get slices all the time from the same guy and he never charged my uncle that price. I couldn’t imagine paying that exurban amount, like this guy who was being charged $54 for a hotdog by one of the vendors. At first he thought it was a typo and it was $5.40 but the vendor. Learned it up when he said no it was $54. Would you have paid that amount? I would have walked away, clearly he was trying to possibly scam a the man for looking like a tourist. Kyle Shanahan recalls how he felt when Brock Purdy entered the game for an injured Jimmy Garoppolo against the Dolphins on December 4th 2022: “I just remember how good he was. The game that he came into, the duress that he was under, the style of defense they were playing at the time. The amount of blitzes that we had seen was probably the most we had seen in the six years I’d been here. At the time, he was our third quarterback to come in that year, so it wasn’t looking very good. But he didn’t hesitate, and right away, he was making plays. It was an awesome game; we were so pumped about it, but everyone was down a little bit after the game because we knew we had a good team and it was so unfortunate to lose Jimmy, which we knew would be for the year at the time. PRX alecks reflects on the team's playstyle and how it has evolved over the years: "I think we've just got a lot more careful. I think that was a bit disappointing on our side because I think we know how to shut this down because we used to do these kinds of things and we couldn't do it today because, again, like I said, we forgot. I can go through the years, but between 2022 to 2024, we pretty much just made sure that everything was strat-based and we just charged people and hoped that we had better mechanics. Then around 2025, I think we took a look at the year and with how good Yoru was, we just tried to leverage the fact that Yoru could be everywhere on the map and we tried to make sure that we understood the game on a micro level a lot better. Maybe for all you know, it came back to bite us in the ass today. What we needed to do was win the fight and then [inaudible], and we used to be very good at that. So if the meta stays the same, I can promise you that we will be back to our best charging people." (via Manguitouu Sons of KS)
