That's how I became a Conservative in second grade. I had a friend standing in line every morning waiting for the school to open. Her name was Julia. She was twice my size and in third grade. She must have failed a couple of grades. But she was nice. Then one day, she said, "Give me your lunch money" (15 cents) and I said, "Why would I do that?" At that moment she sucker punched me (first punch I ever took) and I landed on the ground dazed. She pummeled me, then took the money out of my pocket. I stayed far away from her after that. And never trusted another black kid in school again.
