Jamie Pollard couldn’t tell Matt Campbell what to do so he couldn’t get his beloved I-State logo on the helmets last year. I’m convinced Pollard is forcing the logo back onto the helmets for the start of the Jimmy Rodgers era to spite Campbell and Cyclone fans who hate it.

👀 Defence minister Luke Pollard on the Chagos Deal Luke Pollard: the deal we've signed with Mauritius is a deal that secures the operation of the base. That is a key part of the conversations that the United Kingdom and the United States have been having for a long time SR: But Donald Trump said it's a mistake? Pollard: He previously backed the deal. But we recognise there's a difference of opinion currently SR: He changed his mind, is that what you're saying? Pollard: I mean previously he backed it. He has chosen not to back it more recently. But that's why conversation with a good friend is important and that's why we will continue to undertake that

American traitor/Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard tells Daniel Mael how former ADL head Abe Foxman went to bat for him by telling the media he was only being held in prison so long because of "anti-Semitism." Pollard claims US govt interrogators presented him with a list of "every major American Jewish leader" and asked him if any were "involved in Israeli intelligence." He claims Foxman was at the top of the list and pats himself on the back for not betraying any fellow Jews before a "non-Jewish court." (Pollard is a pathological liar, but Foxman fighting for his early release is a matter of public record.)

I asked Joe Kent for his reaction to Mike Huckabee inviting Jonathan Pollard to the US Embassy "It's despicable... I think there is a good chance that Tucker Carlson and I will get looked at by the FBI with more scrutiny than Mike Huckabee will for that"

3 Reasons there aren’t more Black Head Coaches in the NFL. -Circumstance -Comfortability -Access It’s not a coincidence. The NFL Head Coaching fraternity is hard to break into with the amount of great coaching candidates, nepotism and back scratching that occurs that makes it tough for former players to break into the profession and climb to positions that are coveted for Head Coaching jobs. Often times owners and front office executives want to hire the people who are the best for the job, but are also the ones they are most comfortable with because they look like them, have the same or similar life experiences so they connect better with them and who they want to go golfing with. BUT ACCESS is the issue that has clear examples of how black players don't get the same treatment in coaching circles. That’s not an opinion. It’s a fact. Take a look at Quarterbacks after they finish their playing career. Some go from playing to QB coach to Offensive Coordinator to head coach conversations quickly. The fast track is real for some players. Kellen Moore went from playing to QB Coach to Offensive Coordinator in 2 years after retiring and became the New Orleans Saints Head coach 8 years after retiring. Kevin O’Connell went from playing to coaching in 2015, was an OC in 4 years by 2019 and the Minnesota Vikings Head Coach in 7 years by 2022. FAST TRACK Philadelphia Eagles OC Sean Mannion and Washington Commanders OC David Blough both went from playing to NFL Coaching staffs and OC in 3 years. FAST TRACK. We’ve seen Black quarterbacks go into coaching in this same pipeline like Byron Leftwich who became an NFL coach in 2016 as a coaching intern and was the OC of the Buccaneers by 2019. But despite winning a Super Bowl with Tom Brady, he never got a chance to be an NFL Head Coach. Why? Did he bomb the interview? Or was he just not in the right circumstance, where he made the right people comfortable or had the proper connections to determine his access. Right now if you are on Sean Mcvay's staff you are a walking head coach in waiting. All 4 of his last OCs are head coaches. -Liam Coen -Mike Lafluer -Matt Lafluer -Kevin O'Connell Because they were the best men for the job, great coaches, had the right circumstance, made the right people comfortable, and had the right conections to get access to the job. Seneca Wallace, Jason Campbell, Cleo Lemon, Randall Cunningham. Why didn't they get the same opportunity after their playing days? It’s not just a coincidence. Maybe they didn’t want to be a coach because of the long 20 year cycle they would be presented with to get to the top of the profession that is standard for most. But if you told any of them they would be an OC in 3 years or less and a Head Coach in 8 years or less. ALL OF THEM WOULD TAKE IT. But they never had access to that Fast Track pipeline. The NFL cant say we want the best leaders’ while recycling the same leader profile. And if the NFL is truly a meritocracy, then the pipeline should reflect merit, not comfort. Not ‘who looks like the last guy we trusted.’ Not who gets the benefit of the doubt for being associated with family lineages. In a league that is 70% black, the leadership should be more representative of the leagues players. There are qualified Head Coaching candidates of all skin colors. They just want a chance to succeed or fail just like their competition when their resumes clearly say they have earned it.

This is golf at its purest. Patton Kizzire hit his second shot into the water, like not even close to covering… But he hit the floating ad and ended up with birdie! Talk about great ad activation. We need more integrated marketing in play.

#Lions OC Ben Johnson explained why he stayed in Detroit instead of taking a head coach position. Johnson mentioned that of the eight openings this offseason, five of those hires will likely be gone in the next three years. He wants to be sure he can secure a second contract as a head coach, and his situation in Detroit is too good to leave for just any job. A very honest answer... (via Detroit Lions)

Elon Musk says he underweighted one trait in hiring and learned it the hard way. For decades, talent acquisition built its scorecards on three pillars. Skills. Experience. Cultural fit. Resumes were ranked accordingly. Then the bad hires happened anyway. "Generally, I think it's a good idea to hire for talent and drive and trustworthiness." Talent. Drive. Trustworthiness. The first three felt obvious. The fourth had cost Musk careers. Hires he'd defended. Hires he'd promoted. Hires he eventually fired. Then Musk named the trait most rubrics skipped. "And I think goodness of heart is important. I underweighted that at one point." Musk named the trait: **goodness of heart**. Polished. Predictable. Almost useless without it. Musk, who had interviewed the first few thousand SpaceX hires himself, knew the longest training set. A high-talent, high-drive, trustworthy employee with bad intent could ship more damage to a company over a quarter than a low-output engineer could in a decade, because the same competence that delivered the win also delivered the harm. "Are they a good person? Trustworthy? Smart and talented and hard working?" You can teach domain knowledge. You can teach a process. You cannot teach a person to be kind. Or to mean well when nobody's watching. After Musk made the correction, his hiring filters added a layer most rubrics never named. Goodness of heart became a yes/no gate. Musk, on the four traits that can't be unlearned: "Those fundamental properties, you cannot change." What's the trait you keep meeting in great hires that doesn't show up on any resume? P.S. I made a playbook breaking down 100+ most powerful decision making mental models used by history's greatest thinkers. 5,000+ downloads. 113 five-star reviews. Scott Galloway says Sam Altman will be gone as CEO of OpenAI within six months. “We’re going to have a new CEO at OpenAI within the next six months.” “Sam Altman is on the green mile. He’s an innovator, not an operator. They need an operator. They need an adult in the room right now.” “He just clearly doesn’t know how to handle employees who want to leave. He’s made a fool of himself with certain statements that are just immature. Quite frankly, he has not made the right moves in terms of relationships with other organizations.”

By now, if you follow me you know I’m a big fan of Iowa State coach TJ Otzelberger. This clip is from his introductory press conference after being hired. He inherited a 2-22 team and had this to say. “We are going to be relentlessly competitive on the court. We’re going to value the basketball. Defensively, you’re going to have to earn everything and there’s going to be no easy baskets against the Cyclones.” Fast forward a few years later and he’s done just that. The Cyclones have the 4th best scoring defense and the 2nd best turnover differential in the country. They are 27-7 with a legit chance at a Final Four. What an amazing job 👏🏻👏🏻

Here’s Just Blaze and Young Guru explaining the creative process for “Song Cry.” Just initially listens to the record he wants to sample, constructs the beat in his head, and then executes his vision. “Song Cry” in particular contains 96 sample chops. The version of the record that Jay-Z initially recorded his vocals to is completely different than the final version of the record. After Jay was done recording, Just went back in the post-production stage and built the record up by adding an intro and filling the track up. Guru and Jay were so impressed by the final result, that Jay called a few of his producer friends just to brag about Just Blaze being “the best.”
