China is smart. China learned from the US's successes, using only the best parts. It's our turn. We should be learning from China. China's economy is growing three times faster than that of the USA. China leads in almost all areas of science, and has the best infrastructure the world has ever seen. The number one priority of China is tell help their people become more prosperous, especially the least well off. Is there still work to be done. Hell yeah. But there difference is that they are trying and we are not. I've been to hundreds of Chinese villages, for more than a decade, and people are becoming better off each year. They call it 'Socialism with Chinese Characteristics.' We don't need to replicate their system. But we should be learning from it. For those ignoring it, you are hurting America. Pretending China's model isn't successful is preventing the US from improving and learning. The China-Haters should be ashamed of the damage that they are doing to the West. Instead of slander and Sinophobia, we need to be learning from the successes of other nations and their peoples.

We have over $250k in scheduled jobs just in April alone A 5x increase over last April. Our biggest and most frustrating challenge by far is speed to scale. I could add another $250k with the click of a button, and I could press this button 30x over every 4 months. I could expand the service area and amplify it even more. But I can’t, because we can’t fulfill more than that without more equipment. I can’t just infinitely buy equipment either, it takes time to build up. The thought of taking on an investor has been discussed many times, but that’s another challenge, because it needs to be the right investor. Money alone isn’t the right investor. We need one that understands the industry and is well connected in it. We also have over 100 people ready to buy into a franchise model. A model that has already been built over the Winter. The possibilities are endless, but the decisions have become much more complex and more impactful.

we got back-to-back double teamed while just trying to do a quest. No one talked and it was an awful experience. The next game we saw a team fighting the queen, we joined in to help, and we ended up having the best time ever with a ton of loot. ARC Raiders really shines when people are friendly. I still don't understand how the devs decided PvE wasn’t fun and removed it completely. Maybe part of the fun comes from knowing someone could betray you or jump you at any moment, but for me the most fun moments are when I find players to team up with and actually do things together.

I need honest answers Nigerians: So last year we moved to this Estate in Owerri from Onitsha, my father bought the land years back so last year we finally built on it and moved in. Since then we have been taking care of the street because we are the first to finish building and moved in others haven't and some lands are still empty. So now we want to use our fathers name to register the street but they told my mom that we will be paying to the government every year to keep our street name, this made her now told another person who is also building in our street to use his name and register it, she said she can't afford to do that. So my question is why should we pay to the government to keep our street name, shouldn't the government pay us for keeping the environment clean ?

We just released a new marketing site and I wanted to talk through some of the changes that we made and why. Design thinking is the other side of the feed, it's usually more nuanced than the flashier parts and typically doesn't hold up as well to a quick scroll. Doesn't bode well for this thread! But, this will be my attempt to talk through the changes made and why. First up, this is our new hero. At Loops.so, our goal right now is to be the only platform you need to email your users The H1 matches that intention and the subheader reinforces it. We also wanted it to be clear we ship fast and often, so we added a pill showing the latest featured changelog. Agents are part of how people build software today, so we wanted to give that the second most important placement on the page, right after signup. Finally, the logo strip should not distract too much, but it should still help people understand these are users, not just logos. So we added the date of first payment from Stripe next to each logo. Next up, more things!

A few days ago Jerod McDaniel shared a quote along the lines of “horses made for war don’t dance well at weddings” I think there are a lot of people like myself that know how plants… or livestock.. or a pasture or even building a house or pouring concrete work. We just want to do what we do. The weather worked out well this year for this. We’re going to be 👍 I could grow about anything, but I like to do it my own way. I sometimes wish I didn’t have to predict or guess what people will do… or markets… and the all the corresponding things that entails. I know you can’t just do your craft, but sometimes you want to just immerse yourself in something you have a more complete understanding of. I watch people like Adam Chappell do this with cotton. Zack Smith come up with farmonius designs Intergrazing livestock. We could do so much cool shit, if only we could just have the local markets, infrastructure… if the average person could have that connection and means to trade with the local farm / farmer that just wanted to just do it…be him or herself Maybe I left you hanging with the main idea here. I think there are a lot of different people who are really good at different things, but many of us have to sand off our edges that give us our edge. I love to think in the lens of the 🌱

Well we didn't win. And nowhere near my prediction. I am amazed anybody could still vote labour!? Makerfield had the chance right there, historians may call it a 'great failure of awareness'.. I guess I was a little hopeful that more people had woken up by now. There are 1000's in Makerfield who did made the right decision and voted for Restore, Thank you 🙏 Rebecca and Rupert, the whole of Restore working together. All the people that came down to canvas.. Thank you! 🙏

❤️‍🩹🫂I am feeling better today than I have on the previous days, my friends, but unfortunately, I still feel very tired, and my body and mind are so exhausted by our terrible situation. Officially moving on from Tech game after I get this thought off my chest. I more than welcome anyone smarter than me in regards to the football to chime in. I truly, truly, truly cannot wrap my head around the thought process here. These two plays I'm sure anyone with brain can agree officially sealed KU's slim chances in having a chance to win this game. The play calling to me seems like completely flipped in logic at best? First one, you are down 4, on your own 30 so you are not going to go for this. Ignoring that we were getting dominated in the trenches in this game and that the 'obvious' play is a run, I don't get why we make the decision in a must get spot to take the ball out of our QB's (who at the time was rolling) hands. Jalon Daniels is our best player. In an absolute must get/need, we should be relying on him to make a play. Then the second one. I obviously don't know the answer here, but I feel somewhat confident that the reason we didn't run here was because of how the earlier 3rd & 1 run went. While I don't necessarily agree with the premise of decision making on this alone, I can appreciate the recognition that we are going to struggle to gain a yard in an obvious run situation. But the thing is, we are in go for it range so the one thing you absolutely cannot have is a massive negative play. Literally anything else is okay (obviously not a turnover). I truly don't think there's a good chance we run the ball on this attempt and get a yard. But THIS situation gives you a free shot at it if you want to take it. I think this play call would have worked if we didn't let their best player run at our qb freely but I'd just argue this play had a ton of potential risk that wasn't necessary. Hell even a play action pass out of out shot gun or something rolling JD out to the left would have given us a good shot at first down with an escape route to bail out on the play if something went wrong. I'm once again for the millionth time saying I know and understand that this entire staff knows more about football in their pinky than I do. But I do think the game has evolved and game + clock management doesn't really require football knowledge/have a direct correlation to one's football knowledge. It's not as simple as ESPN's graphic says GO so you should go etc, there are variables and human behavior etc to deal with and I understand that. But we are just getting these situations downright wrong. We are flipping a coin that has a 20 pound weight attached to the heads side and calling tails almost every single time. S/O anyone who read all this but would just love some insight if there's anyone who disagrees and is a lot smarter than I!

Thank you for stopping by our booth, hanging out with us, and taking pictures with us. Our group photo session took over an hour (we literally still can’t believe it). To be honest, it was a bit hectic since it was so busy. However, you guys were all so nice and patient and understanding! And even though it lasted over an hour, you guys waited in line just to meet us 🥹. Thank you for purchasing our JolliBaddies posters (we SOLD OUT omg!!🤯)! This is also unbelievable to us. Thank you for going to our panel on Saturday and playing Bingo with us!!! IN THE MAIN PANEL ROOM TOO!!!! We thought that only 20 people would attend and were originally going to be in the smallest room. However, the line for the panel was SO long that Tsumicon staff ended up switching our room from the smallest room to literally the LARGEST panel room!!! Our minds are still blown away by this. In addition, our panel line was SO long that staff had to cut it off because we were at MAX capacity!!!! Universities and High Schools have not moved rapidly enough to guide students to have skills for the next decade. THEY HAVE FAILED. It is a massive crisis that can be averted by understanding what AI and Robotics will bring about. Solutions are knowing how to use these tools and new industries that will rise. But this situation is also on ALL OF US. No “job” is safe from founder to entry level in most industries. You and I, by what we do, will be “replaced” ultimately. What to do? AI and Robotics are tools, the next decade is owned by those who know how to use them expertly, but this is also temporary. We have to understand that what we do for “work” will change giving ultimately a greater value to those that are: Creative Flexible Always learning Willing to be wrong Love being human Love being alive Know history Covet wisdom Knowing all tech has downsides Building strong family and friends Realize many institutions have failed The first four are required for you to be able to live through this period with your sanity intact. The rest will allow you to thrive. There are no true careers at this point anymore. There are advocation and vocations which will either earn you money or give life meaning. We will learn that we are not “what we do”, just like we knew for 99% of human existence. Let that sink in. — You and I are far, far ahead of knowing this and we can do two things: 1) Laugh at the “clueless” 2) Help people understand with grace Go to Reddit if you are 1, in fact don’t follow me because you will not like this next decade and what I post. You are 2 and thank you. Even if you and I have not solved this issue, we can help people understand what is ahead and with determination and creativity bound together to solve it locally. Or human family has done this millions of times. The evidence is: you are here. The Neo Luddite movement has not even begun and it will potentially rip apart society even more than all the fashionable moment in the recent past has. These Luddites will have a good point with the wrong answers cooked up by dying academics that cling to labels, “virtues” and victim hood. It will be readymade for some governments to enter in as “big daddy” to “help us”. You will not like what they do, but you will only know when it is too late. It will include YOU “volunteering” to “leave” by 60, to “help out” CanadaPod style. “Brian, I’m 24 what do I do?”. I hope to do much more here to help. But I do know this: 1) Learn a trade or vocation because it’s valuable. It may also be free to low cost if you do it right. 2) Learn everything you can about USING AI and TRAINING YOUR AI. Your expertise will be in the top 1% for a decade. But not forever. 3) Understand Bitcoin and how it will rise while other things sink. This is a short list for now. We will know more moving forward. On a romantic road trip with my partner Giada, we stopped in Târgu Jiu to admire Constantin Brâncuși’s beautiful monuments. Poarta Sărutului is considered a romantic spot to kiss, so we wanted to capture the moment in a photo. These are the two kisses we shared next to the monument. A police officer approached us, saying we should respect the monument and not kiss in front of it. We asked if it was because we are both women. She said not personally, but that there are many cameras broadcasting throughout Europe, and if same-sex people kiss near these monuments, people will think that we, as Romania, support gay marriage. While I respect her right to have an opinion, I never thought before that something as simple as a kiss could be seen as a national statement. So there it is. We made that statement by kissing in front of all the Brâncuși monuments. Because yes, there are Romanians who support civil partnerships. There are Romanians who support gay marriage. There are Romanians who believe love should not have to hide in order to be considered respectful. And there are LGBTQ+ Romanians who need to be seen, protected, and recognised; not treated as something that must be kept away from cameras, monuments, or public life.
