The Trump administration has fired dozens of immigration judges across the country in recent months with no explanation for their dismissals. Nearly four dozen judges have lost their positions as the immigration court system faces a record backlog of more than 3 million cases. Many of those dismissed had previously worked in immigrant defense, prompting questions about whether the firings are part of the administration's broader hard-line approach to immigration. Watch Geoff Bennett's interview with one of those former judges.

Donald Trump is purging immigration judges who aren’t rubber stamps for his cruel, inhumane mass deportation agenda. In just over a year in office, he has fired more than 100 judges and threatened others who refused to comply with his wishes. This violated every basic element of due process. I introduced the Real Courts, Rule of Law Act to stop him. This bill would transition the immigration court system into an independent judiciary, protect it from the sitting administration, and stop Trump’s weaponization of our immigration system.

The Donald Trump Admin is mass firing immigration judges in San Francisco - Since April, 12 of San Francisco's 21 immigration judges have been fired - All of the judges granted deportation relief at double the national rate - Immigration judges are under the executive branch, meaning that the president can fire them at will, and that's exactly what Trump is doing Reporter says NGOs have been paying legal fees of the illegals going to court, but Trump is firing the judges creating a backlog “The court's backlog is now at 120,000 cases and rising fast, but waiting isn't safe. A pending case doesn't protect you from ICE, and people detained in the Bay Area are often brought out of it, where there are less resources and harsher precedent” All activist judges need to be fired immediately
