Today, World Health Organization (WHO) supported the medical evacuation of 47 patients and 129 companions from #Gaza, despite the ongoing challenges to humanitarian operations and access constraints. Patients travelled to: - Spain: 13 child and one adult patients - Türkiye: 2 adult patients - France: 4 child and one adult patients - Norway: 6 child and 2 adult patients - Jordan: 18 child patients We are grateful to all the governments and health workers for their support and specialised care for the critical patients from Gaza. Over 14,000 patients are still in need of urgent care. We urge more countries to step forward to accept patients for medical evacuations. Ceasefire!

The health situation in north Gaza is dire: 1) attacks on health care are causing additional deaths and injuries 2) evacuation orders by Israel to hospitals are practically impossible to implement and are a death sentence for the sick and injured. Health workers are staying by their patients’ sides. I've just left the Mater Hospital after meeting health workers from many backgrounds who are genuinely terrified for their own safety and for the safety of their families. They are appealing for those behind these attacks to stop. These health workers are the people who care for us and our loved ones when we need them most. I made sure to share with them the deep appreciation that the vast majority of people have for the work they do every single day

My analysis of the election results and where we go from here. If our community is upset, it's our responsibility to do something about it. In addition to organizing how we'll protect ourselves over the next four years, we need to find and support candidates we are excited to get behind in every election. We need to mobilize the troops to campaign and vote before the primary. We dropped the ball way before yesterday. We have plenty of resources and time and no excuse. Let's learn from this. The time is now!
