New developments suggest Kyiv is rapidly expanding both its offensive strike capabilities and its ability to defend against ballistic missile attacks. According to Fire Point CEO Iryna Terekh, Ukraine's Sapsan ballistic missile has recently undergone significant modernization, achieving its first major improvements in precision. At the same time, Fire Point has reached agreements with 13 European defense companies to jointly develop the Freyja ballistic missile defense system. Speaking to Reuters, Terekh said the project aims to achieve its first successful ballistic missile interception by mid-2027.
