Even buffs and healing will change depending on how good your input timing was. +There's a superb amount of build diversity and party set up and moveset synergy. +Each character and their abilities, skills, gameplay style etc feel distinct and rewarding. +The combat is frenetic, animated beautifully and visually spectacular. +Learning enemy animation, audio, sequence and moveset tells becomes a thrilling rythmic dance like trade. +You're constantly rewarded with new weapons, skills, picto's etc to mix, match, experiment and improve with, and the lumina learning system adds a nice degree of strategy and progression.
