Israel has bent over backwards trying to make peace with them, but the Gazans aren’t interested. They only want all of the Jews dead. You can’t negotiate with that. If the UN wanted to make itself useful, it could find a neighbor country to take the Gazans where they’d be more ideologically aligned.

Meiselas: We need to really reevaluate and reflect on what the hell is happening with Israel. We have to all acknowledge the genocide taking place in Palestine right now. We have to all work to make sure that it is American policy to stop this genocide. And it should be disqualifying for anybody who doesn't call it a genocide and who doesn't work to end the genocide and who doesn't work for a Palestinian state.

This city in Israel will never make it to the news. In this city, Muslims, Christians and Jews live together, work together, and marry each other. I went to Haifa, Israel to see it for myself. There are no Arab neighborhoods or Jewish neighborhoods. Everyone lives together. The hospitals are 50% Arab, 50% Jewish. The biggest tech companies in Haifa like Google, Microsoft, and Apple are full of Arab and Jewish engineers. But you will never see this story on the news. Because peace doesn't make it to the news. I saw it with my own two eyes - the people of Haifa will never stop trying for coexistence.

We have similar situations and Kristi and I will be working with the states and we will work something where the farmers and be responsible. They have had people around for 10 or 15 years and they know them well, we will put them responsible, and issue a form of card or documents and the farmer will be responsible for these people. They will not have citizenship but they will be working and paying taxes. We need to get our farmers the people they need or else the farmers will not be able to do their land. It was tried when there was a very strong guy, and he got everybody out, and every farm almost in the country but every farm in California or Iowa went bankrupt and they had nobody to work and we do not want that situation. We will put our farmers and others in charge of the people that they have under them. They know the people and it will work out well. We will take care of our farmer but to get the criminals out. It is wrong to scapegoat, it is wrong to hold Jewish people accountable for something you don’t like on the other side of the planet. And we really need leaders on all sides in politics, running for office, podcasters, to stop with the conspiracies, to stop with the accusations, and then tell us ‘but we oppose antisemitism’. You don’t get to say you’re opposed to hate if you’re trafficking in hateful conspiracy theories.” Now, at first glance it this might read like Greenblatt is taking the entirely reasonable position that it is wrong to blame Jewish Americans for the actions of the Israeli government. But take a closer look at his use of the phrase “the Jewish state”. What Greenblatt is actually doing here is claiming it’s an antisemitic conspiracy theory to blame the state of Israel for its war crimes, while simultaneously lumping all Jewish people in with the actions of that state. Zionists are the ones doing everything they can to make sure people see the state of Israel as synonymous with Jews and Judaism. That is what they are doing every time they claim a criticism of Israel’s actions is hate speech against Jews. Today I urged the government to clearly set out the timeline for when Palestine will be recognised as a state. We need to move past vague promises and see real action on the recognition of Palestine.
