You are the Government of the day, you hold a higher position than an opposition MP and a mayor...... it's inconceivable that you don't have the power to stop ULEZ.

So the Admiral is also a climate change denier ? Wow.

How's ya flip flops Penny

Why are the Tories now dismissing a Tory proposal? Did a single by-election victory lead them to abandon the concept? It seems like a myopic decision prioritizing immediate political gains over the health benefits for London's residents.

The ULEZ scheme is a prima facie breach of the Equality Act 2010 as it is a policy which results in a detriment to the disabled drivers who can’t afford to change their vehicles and/or can’t afford the £12.50 charge. I say this as a qualified Solicitor.

As the proud daughter of two Veterans aka an “Army Brat” I feel I’m well placed to state that you should be supporting our brave troops to have a safe environment to live and train in. I am asthmatic and live in Sheffield since Dad left the Signals after serving 20 years. I can’t go to London without using blue and brown inhalers on max dosages and when I do I can’t stay longer than three days. The air is not SAFE for people with asthma or other respiratory illnesses. You have a responsibility Penny to create and maintain a safe environment for our forces, their spouses and children. Shame on you for opposing it.

@PennyMordaunt speaks out against the London ULEZ scheme started by Boris Johnson and expanded at the insistence of Grant Shapps. Tories are always attacking their own policies.

But it saves children’s lives…. And helps those with asthma and COPD. But you don’t give a monkeys, do you.

It can't have a more negative impact than the last 14 rotten years!

This is a weird statement because the East-Centre of Portsmouth has consistently bad pollution as a result of the Portsmouth CAZ to the West, intensifying polluting traffic affecting pollution of homesteads at dangerous levels including much of the Portsmouth North constituency. The health of the people of Portsmouth should come first.
