People of Nabi Ball!❤️✌🏾 There is progress in this team👏🏾 The patterns need time to develop and for the team to be consistent in them. ■ The left side looked better with Mmodi and Shinga✅️ ■ We needed Duba to attack the box and be available more when these 2 attacked on the left. He dropped to the edge of the box very often. ■ Unlike in the 1st half, there was a better understanding between Shinga and the LW. When Shinga overlapped, Mmodi was willing to occupy the pockets and combine. ▪︎ When Shinga inverted, Mmodi was happy to hug the line and take his man on. This understanding was key in that side coming to life in the 2nd half. ■ What was also impressive was the ability for them to create good combinations and movements with Mdu and Duba on the offense from the left side. ■ Lilepo from the right was getting into good goal scoring positions when the left was creating in the 2nd half, but poor decisions on the ball and slow reactions were a problem. He should compete on the LW with Mmodi. ■ In the 1st half, it was Monyane and Vilakazi on the right, and 2nd half it was Mmodi and Shinga with some of our best moments in attack. Overall, you can see the general attitude of this team changing. They want to play now. They want to stay on the ball and create chances from a position of control, not rely heavily on transitional moments to create chances. We have shown signs that we can control and be patient, but when opportunities to attack comes we are relentless, and we use a lot of speed to enter the final 3rd. We just need to work on the combinations and finishing in the final 3rd. Like I said before, we are a work in progress, and we will get better only if we build on the positives and remove the negatives. Protagonist Tiki-taka is coming!❤️✌🏾

First clip i am showing from yesterday is the first goal. Now, Wednesday were doing ok before the goal. Battling hard, winning second balls and getting up the pitch. The Svante chance, our best one, was on 4 mins. The first goal ended the contest, and whilst Valery is the main culprit for losing the ball, it came from a chance to get the ball forward for us that we lost. When the ball comes out to Fusire on the right, there is great chance for a quick attack as united are 2vs2 in the final third. Svante & Ugbo should both run to the right side and work the channel. But Svante barely moves and Ugbo runs away from the ball. We end up going back, losing it and conceding. SUFC had 10 shots all game. We gave the ball away 6 times out of the 10 shots. They did not have to work for anything after this moment in the game. It is a Sheffield Derby, you have to simply play the occasion and get it forward and build chances. The difference between Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday in the last so many derbies is that we play it like it is just another game and employ the same tactics, whereas SUFC play it as a derby match.

Optimizing ground reaction forces in the golf swing isn’t just about HOW HARD a golfer pushes against the ground, but HOW they push (timing and direction). One of the key kinetic variables we consider in a force analysis is called anterior-posterior force (or heel-toe force). Think of a golfer pushing frictionally against the ground, towards the target line with their lead leg and away from the target line with their trail leg. AP force is not only a meaningful contributor to clubhead speed, it also has a strong relationship to early extension. In order to prevent the pelvis from moving closer to the target line on the downswing, the lead leg needs to push considerably harder than the trail leg to drive the hip back (we often see over 2X AP force on the lead side vs the trail side in elite ball-strikers). As Newton outlines in his 3rd law, “for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.” In the case of this PGA TOUR player, the trail leg was pushing equal to the lead leg, resulting in him early extending.

COACHES: If we want to develop better hockey players, we need to talk more about work AWAY FROM THE PUCK. Here are two clips to show your players on this concept. 1. GIVE-AND-GO: One of my favorite youth coaches was from Russia and Tarasov's school of hockey...and his biggest pet peeve was passing and then not moving. He would literally stop practice and make us do a somersault if we passed and stood still. Our team won a national championship, we had half our team play college hockey, and his emphasis on this I think was a huge part of our development. Why is a give-and-go big? When a defender is on you and you pass it, that split second is when they're most vulnerable. They have to look at where the puck goes but also pay attention to you. By moving right away after passing, their attention shifts, even so briefly, which allows you to get open to get it back. Check out this AMAZING give-and-go between McDavid and Draisaitl. These guys are on another level and McDavid is truly superhuman at working away from the puck. 2. WORK TO SUPPORT THE PUCK: On the second clip, watch how hard Tarasenko speeds through the neutral zone to get to a spot of support. If he doesn't, this play ends in a dump in and an easy breakout. But he hightails it, like he's shot out of a cannon, and even though he doesn't get the puck, his speed without the puck allows him to get pressure on the forecheck. 3. WORK TO GET THE PUCK BACK: Then you have Kaprizov, one of the most skilled players in the world, working to track back on the forecheck. His effort helps create the turnover and he gets rewarded with the goal. If you want to play offense, the harder you work away from the puck defensively, the more you'll benefit offensively by getting possession back. Even the best players in the world only have the puck on their stick for maybe one minute during a game. As coaches and in player development, the more we can emphasize play without the puck, the more we'll develop smarter and better players.

🚨BREAKING: Newly released ICE agent camera footage directly contradicts the claim that Renee Nicole Good tried to hit an agent with her vehicle. From the agent’s own angle, it’s clear Renee Nicole Good never posed a threat. In the synchronized footage, you can see her wife attempting to get into the car. They are preparing to leave. Suddenly, multiple ICE agents rush the vehicle. One agent moves toward the driver’s door and attempts to open it, trying to pull her out. Renee backs up. She then clearly turns the wheel AWAY from the agent. The agent has an unobstructed view of the steering wheel on his phone. He can see she is turning the car away, not toward him. That is when he pulls his gun. He does not draw his weapon because she is threatening him with the vehicle, he can see she is turning AWAY from him. He draws it to stop her from leaving. As the car turns away, the agent leans over the hood and fires the first shot. By the second shot, he is already further to the side of the vehicle. By the third shot, the car is driving away. Every single shot was fired after it was clear the vehicle was moving AWAY from him. Those shots were not fired to protect his life. They were fired to stop her from leaving. That is not self-defense. That is lethal force used to prevent escape. That is murder.

Admin Post: They're finally plowing our street!! Of course there's no way I'm going to skip this opportunity to do some desensitization work with Kenji. He's a very confident puppy but those plows are big and loud. From a distance they didn't bother him but as they approached the driveway he became visibly nervous. Asking him to sit and watch isn't going to help that. Neither is retreating back into the house. Instead we move a few feet back and play a game of hand targets (I hold my hand out in various positions, changing from high to low and left to right, and when cued, he pushes it with his nose) and toss his treat a few feet away he does it. He also gets paid for eye contact so when he focuses on me he gets a reward. He still watches, but he's no longer fixated on it. He offers eye contact and will stop watching it when cued for a "push". The little "wins" of getting the reward are a huge confidence builder in an uncomfortable environment. Much more than just having him stand there being fed to keep him distracted from the uncomfortable stimuli. If he can't do a hand target on cue and isn't checking in with eye contact even when his name is said, he isn't choosing to ignore me. It means the situation is too stimulating for him so we back up to give him more space. Confidence isn't approaching big scary things (or even small scary things) barking and acting like we'll chase them away or eat them. The majority of the time dogs exhibit that behavior, it's fear based. Confidence is being able to function and not become overwhelmed in situations that are different and sometimes uncomfortable. That's our goal. And on that note, I can finally get out of the driveway to get tomatoes!

As requested by Alex Miller yesterday, a look at our out of possession shape in the first half. 1: (10 secs) - Wednesday in a very narrow high block in a 523 out of possession. It only looked like this when the ball is central. Nowrich rotate (change positions during play) a lot and this narrow block denies central rotation. In this clip, they have had rotation in left back position as the CM has dropped into the area and left back on the last line. 2: 20 secs - When the ball went wide or started to move wide, the full back would advance up the pitch to pressure the full back and press full back to full back, whilst the CBs would come out with the Norwich forwards coming in between the lines, as this ball transitions across the pitch you see Sargent come out and Iorfa following tight. Fusire in this clip has come out to mark full back to full back and creating a makeshift back 4. 3: 47 secs - Wednesday get back into their narrow block shape 4: 56 secs - rotation from the front line form Norwich 5: 58 seconds, Palmer comes out of the back line to pick up the rotation and prevent space between lines. As the player turns to our left, Amass starts to come out to pick up full back to full back on the other side. In summary, Wednesday played their familiar 523 blocking shape out of possession but it was much more proactive in the back 5 than we usually see it, with full backs and Cbs following rotations and stepping out of the backline to prevent space between lines. It worked, first half. Norwich combated it a little better second half. Will get a clip out tomorrow of what they did

Wingers scoring less, assisting less and becoming less of an attacking threat in the Prem. Saka, a great young player, has dropped off. Wingers now have it drilled into them to come back and support defensively when their fullbacks are attacked 1v1, turning it into a 1v2. Coaches are terrified of wingers cutting inside and connecting and opening the field internally, so the defensive winger is hauled back to help. All. The. Time. The defending winger now has a much larger distance to cover to get into an attacking position when play transitions. If he picks up the ball deep, all but the very best players cannot carry 70 yards and then deliver, they certainly cannot do it repeatedly. They lose their freshness, replaced with fatigue, in the key ‘trigger moments’ 1v1 or in front of goal. Their starting positions are too low. Too close to their own goal. Often, they are now used to simply facilitate circulation of the ball in Zone 2 as the wide player. There’s no debate on this as video evidence from multiple sources clearly show Ross stopping in front of her vehicle, and then taking the time to shift his phone from his right hand to his left so he can draw his weapon…BEFORE she even started moving. THIS is simply reality, and the conversation should end here. That curiosity led me to study Gian Piero Gasperini’s Atalanta — a coach and team that have had a significant influence on how I view the defending phase of the game. From there, I began implementing man-oriented high pressing as a core defensive principle with the teams I worked with. Starting with the U15s, the impact was immediate. We achieved more ball regains in central areas and, as a result, created more goalscoring opportunities directly from our pressing moments. Beyond the tactical outcomes, this approach also exposed players to more 1v1 defending situations, while naturally developing their anticipation and interception skills. He has a high work rate. Something our current technical team will appreciate with his game. ■ He overlaps frequently. He is comfortable in combination plays or providing more width with overlapping runs. It's his crossing I think can get better, but he is still decent. There are some good curlers from that left foot. ■ He can anticipate passing well. He is efficient in closing channels or interceptions to break up opposition attacks. He is a good reader of the game and plays with so much commitment. He creates a lot of attacking opportunities on the left. He is able to get past defenders with some speed and dribbling. Data on his crossing frequency and accuracy is not showing a lot to take home, but it's still within the range of some of our best fullbacks in the league. Also, watching his application gives some confidence that he can consistently deliver quality into the box. He is a technically decent player. Motherwell In Possession I've been so impressed by Motherwell's performance and style this season. After watching back their 5-0 win from Saturday, I noticed a few key themes/principles of their play in possession: • Principle 1 - attackers occupy the spaces between FBs & CBs. This keeps opposition FBs pinned back and allows for moments to exploit opposition miscommunication. • Principle 2 - the "tapered box" in deep build-up: 2 CBs with wide positioning; 2 CMs with narrow positioning. Allows M'Well to comfortably progress the ball forward using diagonal & bounce passes. Attracts pressure from St Mirren, creating lots of space between defence & midfield to exploit. • Principle 3 - the use of 1-touch play to change the tempo. 1-touch passing disoriented St Mirren at times and didn't allow them to get appropriate pressure on the ball. It was also evident, especially on the left, that only 1 player needs to hold width (Longelo), Slattery was given a licence to roam inside and create overloads in the midfield, making it difficult for the St Mirren midfield. I genuinely believe if they had a proper goalscorer in the 1st part of the season M'well would have been top of the league as they have consistently been the best side.
