Genuinely worrying that people can’t tell the difference between low/no danger downtown traveling and a scene that has multiple explosions and is total action.

The most ridiculous comparison ever. You could turn and go wherever you wanted.🤡

Imagine complaining about a feature for traveling in an open-world RPG game

Not complaining, it's in my top 3 games for the PS4

It's a very weird comparison then

Yeah, comparing traveling through an open world and a linear singleplayer story driven game👍

This probably seems like a really good point if you have 78 IQ.

are travelling through an open world choose any direction or speed you want 3.wolverine is linear straight line

This is really not the "gotcha" you think it is 😂

Retarded post. The wolverine one is obviously a sequence. The witcher3 one is a optional feature that the majority didnt use to travel

That's not even close to being the same. The Witcher does this for a quality of life feature so they can pack the world with foliage and it isn't a nightmare to traverse. Totally different than a high octane action sequence that takes zero effort to finish.

traveling vs half-Cutscene

Thank you for making the point that Wolverine's action chase scene is so inept and safe that it's basically a nice horseback ride on a relaxing afternoon.

RDR2 Not game of the year 😆😆

Is this supposed to be a diss? Because last time I checked, the Witcher 3 has so much content you could be playing it for months

It’s actually kind of scary that you think aided traversal on a large map is the same thing as a dressed up “action” sequence with zero ways to fail no matter what you do. Are you ok?

Nice rage bait, a lot of unhappy people in here lol.

Are you seriously comparing a fucking traversal to an ACTION sequence?

Dishonest comparison. Witcher 3 is an open world RPG. Completely different genre than Wolverine. What was being criticized about Wolverine was that player agency in that sequence was basically an illusion. There was lots of dramatic stuff happening on screen, while the player need only press forward. It's the illusion of control, much like what Mixtape was criticized for. Hence the accusation of being a "movie game." Compare to an open world game, where the player may be on a leisurely stroll from one town to the next that demands just as little of them mechanically...but that's because the player decided to do that, and the horse ride across the wilderness is the product of their decision. That's actual control.

Open world vs linear game.

Disingenuous post. In Wolverine you have to run that way to progress the game. Its linear. In the Witcher footage ur just pressing forward but u could go exploring to the left or right or anywhere. Ur just not in that video.

The amount of people who are straight up idiots and miss the point here is astounding lol

You mean, if it was boring then, so let’s make it boring now?

Wolverine is going to be just as bad as Mixtape.

Free roam in an open world of a 2015 game vs apparent set piece of a smaller but big budget Sony 2026 game. Yeah wolverine still sucks

Pretending to not understand, bold strategy.

it's literally a replacement for fast travel, something that doesn't take away the actual gameplay, arguably adds more as one would with more likeliness then not use/want fast travel

At this point I'll concider this an ragebait and move on.

Why are you using a great game as an example to defend your favorite Sony that won’t give you anything in return?

No this was a free roam game and you had the option for your horse to auto travel. Stop deliberately misunderstanding/ misinterpreting the claim.

This must be rage bait, i refuse to believe someone is that stupid

What a dog shit comparison

Note how shills have to compare setpieces in their $80 movie game to overworlds and non-action parts of open worlds to convince themselves that 6 hours of non-stop handholding is great stuff, actually.

Yeah, because traveling somewhere in an open world is the same as holding forward through an entire linear level. 😂 Here’s your reward: 💩
