I compared The Witcher 3 original (2015) version vs the Remastered (2026) version with Ray Tracing for Geralt’s iconic bath scene. Crazy how well the 2015 version still holds up even after 11 years.

11 years to rise the brightness... Lol

Eleven years later and water surface physics still peak inside that wooden tub.

Wait why does it look worse

I hate how these comparison videos are recorded with shitty settings, at shitty framerates using a potato. Compression is fucking awful.

bookmarked

Oil up😭😭😭

Cut on his head isn't even bloody now

@oomfpit core

The new version glows unnaturally. Just because you can dial effects up to eleven now, doesn't mean you should.

why does it look worse

How interesting. Geralt looks better in the 2015 version but you can see the window is way less blurry for example as much of the environmental assets are sharper despite the character model seemingly being less shiny until he stands in the light where he... shines. Fascinating.

Actually its not crazy. Many games still are totally fine. All the halabalu about graphics while 2026 games fail in game depth or story or gameplay is all so FPS chasers make the companies rich. I use many old graphic cards in older systems because they play the games run on them

Oryginalna wersja ma więcej klimatu moim zdaniem

Now add the original with DLSS5.

Looks the same

itll look even better from my perspective cause last time i played this was on a potato

O valley of plenty......

Picking this scene? I know what you are
