Most robotics teams can make a robot move… very few can make it work every day in the real world! @roboforce_inc was just featured in Jensen Huang’s GTC keynote, not for a demo but for a robot they claim is already working in the field. Their system, TITAN, is built for industrial environments: ✅ 40 kg dual-arm payload ✅ millimeter-level precision ✅ 8 hours runtime ✅ early pilots in energy, logistics, and manufacturing They call it Physical AI: The focus is on getting robots to do the kind of labor that still depends on people: repetitive, risky, and physical. IMO, what stands out isn’t the specs. It’s the claim of 11,000 robot orders❗️ If even a fraction of that turns into real deployments, it would make RoboForce one of the most widely scaled robot platforms in the world!!?? The open question is whether this shift from prototype to production is real or just the next phase of robotics storytelling. It looks very promising to me. It’s also interesting how their founder openly pushes back against the humanoid trend, arguing for wheels over legs in real industrial settings. Every mobile robot has the same problem. The arms are too heavy. Too weak. Too dumb… You bolt on a robot designed for a factory floor and wonder why your AMR’s battery dies in 2 hours. The payload-to-weight ratio kills you. The arm weighs 20kg and lifts 5. Mobile manipulation? A forklift with a wrist! Eris and Dimitris Sako, two brothers in Zurich (Duatic), spent years inside ETH’s Robotic Systems Lab staring at this exact problem. Their answer: control the muscle. They built their own Quasi-Direct Drive actuators from scratch. And an arm around them. And a robot around the arm. The DynaArm weighs 9 kg. Lifts 12. IP66. Backdrivable!!! …meaning it feels contact like a human arm does. Payload-to-weight ratio is inverted….the arm lifts more than itself! Their Alpha robot puts two of these on a wheeled base that carries 200 kg. Vision-guided. Hot-swappable batteries. Drumming exposes timing, wrist motion, impact force, arm recovery, and coordination between both hands. Even if the routine is pre-programmed or assisted, the useful part is visible: the robot has to strike, reset, and stay in rhythm without turning into random arm movement. Robot musicians may look funny today. They are quietly testing the same control problems needed for household robots, factory arms, and physical AI systems that work around humans. German company Agile Robotics has launched its first industrial humanoid robot, Agile One, featuring intuitive human-robot interaction, dexterous hands (for grasping small screws and touching the screen), and AI-driven operation trained in the real world. It performs tasks such as material collection, handling, picking and placing, loading and unloading machine tools, tool handling, and precision operations. The emergence of humanoid robots by industrial robot companies is a natural progression; they are designed for areas inaccessible to traditional robotic arms and industrial robots, extending operational systems and enhancing business collaboration capabilities. Agile One will be manufactured in Germany in early 2026 and deployed for on-site training at customers to enhance its AI model capabilities. Soon, Europe will enter its second wave of automation driven by intelligent technology.

Teleoperation today relies on WebRTC. That works for Zoom. Not for robotics. Is that statement provocative? WebRTC works for video calls. But not really for robots. I’m teleoperating from SF → London using Adamo’s stack. Zero buffering. No lag smoothing… just real-time control. Because WebRTC apps add buffers to handle: • packet loss • network jitter That’s fine when you’re talking. Not so much when you’re controlling a robot. Even small delays kill precision. So instead of adapting WebRTC… Adamo built a custom protocol + dedicated global infrastructure. Without buffering or artificial delay. A stable, real-time connection across the Atlantic. This is what people underestimate about robotics: Models are just one piece of the puzzle. But looking at the entire stack, there is so much more. And Sometimes you can’t reuse what exists. Humanoids might make sense to a certain degree in homes, and some startups are aggressively pushing the idea that they will become valuable in logistics or manufacturing. As someone who spends a lot of time on the shop floor talking to manufacturing engineers and plant managers, constantly hunting for real pain points and evaluating the right automation use cases for my robotic startup clients, I see this very clearly: In the brutal environment of forging (extreme heat, heavy parts, and high-force operations) specialized industrial robots are not just the better choice.
