Colorado families are already struggling to get by as the costs of childcare, rent, and groceries continue to skyrocket. The least we could do is make things a little bit easier and extend the ACA tax credits that make their health insurance more affordable. I will do everything I can to extend these tax credits and bring down health care costs for working families.

There has to be a solution from Republicans, or at least assurances I can believe in. Because right now, 24 million Americans are at risk of seeing their healthcare costs double overnight. That’s not something I’m willing to gamble with.

Here’s the deal right now: Trump and Republicans are willing to shut down the government instead of work with Democrats to prevent health care costs from rising even more. People are already hurting as a result of Trump’s severe cuts, and Americans’ premiums are expected to double. We must take action to ensure people can still access affordable health care.
