Nick Saban was asked a question after practice once. His response was 70 seconds of gold on what it takes to be successful in life. Hereโ€™s Saban on the Illusion of Choice: โ€œThese guys, they all think they have this illusion of choice. Like I can do whatever I want to do. โ€œYou have a younger generation now that doesnโ€™t always get told no. They donโ€™t get told this is exactly how you need to do it. So they have this illusion that they have all these choices. โ€œBut the fact of the matter is, if you want to be good you donโ€™t really have a lot of choices. It takes what it takes. You have to do what you have to do to be successful. โ€œYou have to make the choices and decisions to have the discipline and the focus to the process of what you need to do to accomplish your goals. โ€œAll these guys that think they have a lot of choices are sadly mistaken. As we all have done with our own children, they learn these lessons of life as they get older. โ€œSometimes the best way to learn is from the mistakes you make, even though we all hate to see them have to make them, and we donโ€™t condone it when they do.โ€ โ€“ Iโ€™ve studied Saban for 12+ years, and the Illusion of Choice is one of the most powerful concepts Iโ€™ve come across. Some key takeaways: 1. Excellence has a price. We can complain about that, but itโ€™s a fact of life. 2. Most people donโ€™t want to pay that price. They just havenโ€™t admitted it to themselves. 3. Saying you want to be excellent is easy. Becoming excellent is hard. 4. There may not be one way to become great, but there are very few. And they all have discipline and consistency in common. 5. Every action we take is a choice. Weโ€™re choosing to make progress, or weโ€™re not. 6. The formula for becoming successful: Your Daily Choices x Time. Itโ€™s simple, but we make it complicated. 7. Sometimes we learn more by making the wrong choices. Reflect on them, pull out the lessons and move on. 8. You have to choose what you do every day. Donโ€™t follow your feelings. Choose to do what will make you better. 9. There are no long-term hacks. It takes what it takes. ||| Hope this is helpful. Follow me Teddy Mitrosilis for more writing. Elon Muskโ€™s Elon Musk first principles algorithm: โ€œWell, it's easy to say simplify and it's very difficult to do it. You know, I have this very basic first principles algorithm that I run kind of as a mantra, which is to first question the requirements, make the requirements less dumb. The requirements are always dumb to some degree, so you want to start off by reducing the number of requirements. And no matter how smart the person who gave you those requirements, they're still dumb to some degree. You have to start there because otherwise you could get the perfect answer to the wrong question. So try to make the question the least wrong possible. That's what question the requirements means. And then the second thing is to try to delete whatever the step is, the part, or the process step. It sounds very obvious, but people often forget to try deleting it entirely. And if you're not forced to put back at least 10% of what you delete, you're not deleting enough. And it's somewhat illogical, people often, most of the time, feel as though they've succeeded if they've not been forced to put things back in. But actually, they haven't because they've been overly conservative and have left things in there that shouldn't be. And only the third thing is to try to optimize it or simplify it. Again, these all sound, I think, very obvious when I say them, but the number of times I've made these mistakes is more than I care to remember. That's why I have this mantra. So in fact, I'd say the most common mistake of smart engineers is to optimize a thing that should not exist.โ€

Exodus | Official Gameplay Trailer Full Video โ–ถ๏ธ Details โ–ช๏ธThe basics: Action RPG with dialogue choices, your own ship, companions both human and alien, skill trees, etc โ–ช๏ธPlay as "Jun", who the team describes as sort of a mix between Indiana Jones and Paul Atriedes โ–ช๏ธYou can customize your character, male or female, choices you in the game define you โ–ช๏ธGame Structure: There are structured quests as well as areas you can explore around in, similar to KOTOR, Mass Effect, Dragon Age Origins. You decide the manner in which you do quests โ–ช๏ธYou go on quests to retrieve Celestial technology, and depending on what you decide to do with that tech (help your society, advance militarily, etc), the game world can change drastically โ–ช๏ธSome choices you make with the Celestial tech can open up entirely different weapons and technology โ–ช๏ธYou are joined by a large cast of companions, and you bring two along with you on quests like Mass Effect โ–ช๏ธRomances confirmed to be in the game โ–ช๏ธSome companions "will be at each other's throats", and you'll have to side with some over others โ–ช๏ธSome companions can change "radically" depending on choices you make, for example through time dilation: leaving companions behind may change them, age them, etc by the time you come back Need itttt ๐Ÿ˜ฉ #Exodus

#WATCH | Shillong: On the Manipur situation, Assam Rifles Director General Lieutenant General PC Nair says, "...If videos are going around, these are doctored videos. I can tell you I have about 30 to 40 videos which have been circulating. Don't even belong to the northeast. They are from Myanmar, they are from other places. Some of them are from the Rohingya region. But some people who have a hidden agenda to create trouble here are doctoring that and showing them as security forces acting against people. Yes, there have been certain other instances where videos of Manipur have been shown. But amongst those videos also, it is only part of the incident. Let's say an incident has happened for about five to ten minutes. Let's say there are people been stopped and Assam riffle trying to stop them or whatever. In these videos that are being propagated, they only show part clippings which makes the story very different. Unless you see the entire video, unless you see the complete facts, you will tend to get carried away by what is coming. And that is precisely what is happening. Part of the story, part of the photograph, and part of the videos are what are being made and shown to drive a certain agenda which is wrong..." He further added "...From the first day, that is from the 3 May itself, Assam Rifle has maintained a neutral stand (in Manipur). So all these narratives that have been coming are agenda-driven. It makes me laugh when I read some of these stupid reports stating that the Assam riffle is favouring one community, not favouring the other. These are nothing but rumours, falsehoods, preposterous. There is no background to this and I can substantiate it with statistics...to call us being biased towards a particular community is wrong...."

VIDEO | Delhi: On the split in the TMC, party MP Shatrughan Sinha said, โ€œFirst of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the people of Asansol and West Bengal for giving me immense love, respect and support, and for ensuring my victory time and again. I first came to Asansol at Didi (Mamata Banerjeeโ€™s) invitation and on her instructions. In my very first election there, I secured a record-margin victory in what was the countryโ€™s first by-election at the time. Later, I also won a second time with a significant margin. Therefore, I would especially like to thank Mamata ji, the Trinamool Congress, and above all, the people of Asansol and West Bengal. I want to make it clear that I have always worked for everyone in Bengal, regardless of which party they belong to or whether they voted for me or not. I understand my responsibilities and will continue to fulfil them." He adds, "When I was going through a difficult phase after losing the Patna election in 2019, very few people stood by me. Mamata Banerjee was among the few who supported and encouraged me. She believed I should continue in public life without any gap in my parliamentary journey, and it was on her direction that I contested from Asansol. By Godโ€™s grace, and with the support of Mamata ji and the people of Asansol, I achieved victory. For the past few days, there has been a lot of speculation about me. Some people are speaking the truth, while others are spreading rumours. Some have claimed that I have joined the so-called rebel group. Yes, by nature I have always been outspoken. I often say that if speaking the truth is considered rebellion, then I am also a rebel. I have always spoken frankly and called a spade a spade. But I want to state clearly that Mamata ji stood by me during my difficult times, and today, in her difficult phase, I cannot abandon her. I was elected on the Trinamool Congress symbol - the โ€˜Jora Phoolโ€™ - not once but twice, with the blessings of God. Therefore, it is my duty and responsibility to stand with Mamata ji and the Trinamool Congress...my principle is very clear: when Mamata ji stood by me in my difficult times, it is now my duty to stand by her in this moment as well.โ€ (Full video available on PTI Videos -

The Trump admin is GASLIGHTING us re: no CBDCs They know they can't do CBDCs because of the Constitution, so they're backdooring them with stablecoins Iain Davis explainsโ€” "the idea of a [CBDC] is that it will give these private institutions total control of a new digital international monetary and financial system" "CBDC is programmable money that slots into that system. That's why they want it" "That's not going to work in the US because... it's a constitutional right in the United States that the people, and only the people, oversee what they call the power, quoteโ€“unquote... to coin money" "So what are you going to do about it? You need some sort of work-round" "So stablecoins and things like deposit tokens or tokenized deposits are variations of programmable digital currency. But rather than being issued by a central bank, they're issued by a commercial bank" "stablecoins... slot into the system of programmability just as easily, if not more so than a central bank digital currency. So you can attach smart contracts to any kind of digital transaction using digital currency" "Programmable digital currency and stablecoins do exactly the same thing, serve the same purpose, as central bank digital currency" This clip of Iain Davis (InThisTogether), author of The Technocratic Dark State, is taken from a Flashlights podcast (Flashlights Podcast) episode posted to Rumble on May 17, 2026. ---------------Partial transcription of clip---------------- "It's a constitutional right in the United States that the people, and only the people, oversee what they call the power, quoteโ€“unquote, it says this in the Constitution, to coin money. So the power to coin money is overseen by the people. "Now the idea of a central bank digital currency is that it will give these private institutions total control of a new digital international monetary and financial system. That's CBDC is programmable money that slots into that system. That's why they want it. "That's not going to work in the US because even though Congress, you know, Congress is the, is the dog which is wagged by the tail in this of the Fed, the Fed, you know, the Fed tells Congress what to do, not the other way round. But theoretically it could be the other way round. And theoretically the people could assert their control over the Fed if they only knew about it, which, not many people do, but they could do it, right? It's in the US Constitution. "Now that's a problem if you're going to embark on a global transformation of the entire international monetary and financial system when your leading reserve currency is the US dollar. So that's, you know, that could all go wrong very badly. "So what are you going to do about it? You need some sort of work round. How are you, how are you going to do which for the, you know, I, for many years, well, since central bank digital currency has been something that I've been looking at, I couldn't figure out why the US wasn't more enthusiastic about central bank digital currency. "Because it's the type of thing that the US administrations are usually right upโ€” You know, they're really gung ho about that kind of centralized control of everything. That's right up their alley. So why, why don't they like it? And then it was the work of John Titus who pointed out this problem that they've got in the US with the Constitution that made me look at that and think, right. And then I started investigating that further. And he's right about that. That is a problem. "But then they obviously need some sort of workaround. How are they going to have. Because the main point of central bank digital currency from the surveillance and control aspect is that we will all need digital identity in order to access our digital wallets, which will contain the currency and the currency and the wallets and our, digital identities will all be programmable so conditions can be set on everything that we do. "Every transaction we make will be subject to condition through some sort of smart contract probably, which will control it. Right. So you know, if you say the wrong thing or you know, you, you just write the wrong thing online, you could be punished by algorithm by controlling your access to money... "And so the key to that is central bankโ€” the programmability of central bank digital currency. But obviously that's not going to, may not work. There's a good chance that won't work in the United States which has got the US dollar reserve is an important currency. "So what are you going to do? So stablecoins and things like deposit tokens or tokenized deposits are variations of programmable digital currency. But rather than being issued by a central bank, they're issued by a commercial bank. So or in the case of stablecoins, a non-bank, a non-bank institution like Tether. So it's not a bank. "But you can use stablecoins for exactly the same. They slot into the system of programmability just as easily, if not more so than a central bank digital currency. So you can attach smart contracts to any kind of digital transaction using digital currency. Programmable digital currency and stablecoins do exactly the same thing, serve the same purpose as central bank digital currency or the other version, the commercial bank version is deposit tokens. Any of those will do. "Now in the US they've gone down the stablecoin route so they can issue the stablecoins which will be backed by US Treasuries, just like the dollar or just like any kind of dollar instrument will be one to one convertible for the US dollar. So the stablecoins are effectively the US dollar in, in digital form. "But instead of calling it a central bank digital currency, they call it issued by, it wouldn't have to be issued by the Fed. They call it a stablecoin, which is issued by a company like Tether or you know, someone like that. So it's the same system but using a workaround. And that workaround came with the Genius Act which, which came from an executive order that Trump made when he first came to office. "Because the Americans, quite rightly when they were electing their president, were concerned about central bank digital currency. I mean anyone that understands what it is should be terrified of it. So they didn't want it, and Trump promised that they wouldn't have it. Probably. I don't know whether he knew, but certainly the gaggle of technocrats that were around him knew that they weren't going down that path. Anyway, no chance of the US introducing it because of these problems we've just outlined."
