@TalkinYanks The issue is they have too many holes to be addressed at the deadline. Time to back into a WC series, and then clean house in the offseason.

@TalkinYanks I think if they retooled, Volpe could be a mainstay as a #9 hitter for a couple years as he *hopefully* develops more. His defense has gotten stronger. He’s shown flashes of stardom offensively. Stick him in the 9 hole for an entire year and retool around him.

The real issue is you need to give Volpe a day off but you have no back up SS on the team bc JD Davis and DJ LeMeheiu are on this team over a player like Peraza
