When children are abandoned to hunger, illness, illiteracy, and the streets, we are not only failing them; we are endangering the future. This is why government, civil society, traditional and religious leaders, parents, communities, the private sector, development partners, and security institutions must work together to address the overwhelming issue of street-connected children. Leaving children to fend for themselves on the streets is a keg of gunpowder.
