THEN THE WINGED HUSSARS ARRIVED

If I had millions of dollars I would blow it all on trying to get Mel Gibson to direct an unrepentantly based movie about this battle, concluding with a Helm's Deep like finish as Jan Sobieski III takes the role of Gandalf and relieves the besieged Austrians. There is so much cool stuff you could include in this movie. You had the siege outside walls. You had brutal tunnel fights as each side tried to undermine the other. And of course the dramatic arrival of the Winged Hussars. I envision that during their epic cavalry charge, for a brief moment they appear as literal avenging angels, their wings no longer mere decorations but the manifestation of the divine will to smite the Ottomans. God I want a sincere, unashamed, pro-West movie adaptation of this. Alas, I do not have millions of dollars to produce this.

And with them came the strength of faith, the fire of valor and the relentless will of warriors who knew no retreat. They rode not for glory, but for honor and their charge echoed the truth of a righteous cause.
