Ex US Army Captain Marcus Plunkett, who served in Afghanistan, came through a 36 hole qualifier to make it to The Open, his major debut. Now after rounds of 70 and 71 he is currently inside the projected cut line. After the round, he explained his love of golf: “I grew up playing it as a kid. It's one of the few things that I found that makes me feel alive. When I'm playing competitive golf, especially here at The Open, I am right there in the moment. “I think that's what keeps calling me back to try to get better every day.” This is an exceptional performance from Marcus in his first major. Lots more coming on Pasatiempo Golf Club’s restoration of their Dr. Alister Mackenzie original greens, but for now, here’s Jim Urbina at the end of episode one, breaking down the score at halftime of the 16th green, one of the most diabolical putting surfaces in golf. Looking forward to hosting a Bonfire event at Pasatiempo this Thursday when temperatures might get into the 70s. Course and greens are immaculate. This performance took place 45 years after Pink Floyd filmed ‘Live At Pompeii’ in the legendary Roman Amphitheatre there, he returned for two spectacular shows that took place on 7 & 8 July 2016, part of his year-long tour in support of his No.1 album ‘Rattle That Lock’. The performances were the first-ever rock concerts for an audience in the stone Roman amphitheatre, and, for two nights only, the 2,600 strong crowd stood exactly where gladiators would have fought in the first century AD.

From July 1st to the end of the season (43 games) AB: 153 AVG: .261 OBP: .365 OPS: .803 ISO: .176 WRC+: 128 HR: 6 SB: 16 K%: 24.2% BB%: 12.9% His ISO went from .051 from April to July 1st to .176 after July 1st. There are some indicators of him figuring it out at the age of 22.
