I topped up $5 on an API aggregator ToAPIs Then I found out GPT Image 2 costs only around $0.015 per image. If you do a lot of testing or batch-generate commercial AI images, that difference adds up fast. I think I just found the secret to generating more, testing more, and spending less. And it’s not just one model. With the same key, you can access 50+ models for image, video, and text, including GPT Image 2, Gemini Omni, Seedance 2.0, Kling AI 3.0, grok-video-1.5-preview, and more. We released physics-intern: a simple harness for science problems! It gets models like Gemini 3.1 Pro to go from 17.7 -> 31.4, thus beating GPT 5.5 Pro. The physics-intern harness can wrap any model and via dedicated subagent boost the performance of the vanilla reasoning models. While I think more and more of these harness capability gains will be absorbed into the models (like prompting tricks disappeared over time) there is a lot to be gained right now by building good scaffolds for those models and integrating tools well. Interestingly, the exception we found that GPT 5.5 Pro actually didn't benefit from the physics-intern harness! Read more about it here: PS: I think the Harness[Model] notation is kind of nice.

🌟 New mini feature today on Photo AI It now auto recognizes your model's attributes when you upload photos of yourself Like gender, age, ethnicity, eye color, etc This uses xAI's Grok because it's the least restricted and other models don't let you do any identity type stuff due to safety (???) This saves new users a few more seconds when creating new models: training a model takes only about 30 seconds now, and then it also auto generates free sample pics for you in about 5-10 seconds So in under a minute of signing up and uploading a few selfies you got your first AI photo shoot pics I learnt the faster I get new users to the classic "WOW" moment the happier they get and the less churn I get 😊

🚁 Adding an Apache attack helicopter today I think I will rewrite the entire flight model today again to be ambiguous of what kind of vehicle it is Planes behave very different than helicopters and different than vehicles like tanks or pedestrians Because people here also requested "Guy with bazooka" so that will be next I have no idea if everyone else is just lying about using AI for their plane models but mine look so clunky (but I like the look), but I now tried with Claude 3.5 and 3.7 and Grok 3 and they all just generate clunky models, not beautiful like you see in other AI vibe coded games, so either they bs'ing or I'm retarded I also have to move sub parts of each model like for 30 minutes until everything fits, AI has a really hard time with 3d models But okay the look is kinda cute

A major question in multimodal modeling is how to leverage strong pre-trained models, such as industry-scale LLMs and VLMs, during training to avoid starting from scratch. This is important as the demand for rich and domain-specific multimodal models continues to increase, while training them from scratch is obviously impractical due to limited data and compute. The so-called “any-to-any” multimodal models can model a large diverse dictionary of modalities. That’s good. Their downside is that their architectures are often not decoder-only, which has limited their performance in practice and prevents them from leveraging strong pre-trained decoder-only models as priors. We are releasing MODUS (ICML Conference '26) a decoder-only any-to-any multimodal model to address some of these questions. A single transformer decoder predicts any modality from any others with no modality-specific heads, losses, or task pipelines. We show efficient adaptation of established models, e.g., BAGEL, to rich any-to-any multimodal modeling. We are releasing 14B to 77B parameter models. All materials are open-source. I'm sure you've all noticed the 'AI is slowing down' news stories every few weeks for multiple years now - so I've pulled a tracker together to see who and when wrote these stories. There is quite a range, some are just outright wrong, others point to a reasonable limitation at the time but missing the bigger arc of progress. All of these stories were appearing as we were getting reasoning models, open source models, increasing competition from more players and skyrocketing revenue for the labs. Today we're dropping the "beta" tag from Adaptyv, launching our new website and announcing our $8M seed round. When we started Adaptyv a few years ago, our core belief was: AI models for biology are only as good as the experimental data they're trained on and the hypotheses they can test in the real world. Now, after a year of working with many great partners, we’ve scaled our infrastructure to the point that we're now open to anyone who wants to use our platform! Overall, this year, over 30 companies started using Adaptyv to validate their protein designs - from some of the biggest pharmas to frontier AI labs to many, many techbio startups. We've run hundreds of experiments, tested well over 10,000 proteins this year and are generating the data that validates the best AI models currently in development.

Robot Utility Models (RUMs) enable basic tasks – door opening, drawer opening, object reorientation, etc. – at ~90% accuracy without ANY finetuning (i.e. zero-shot) in unseen new environments. I think it's interesting that we're starting to see different types of specialists emerge in the field of Generative AI technology. We are seeing a new generation of world-class storytellers. Some are immaculate at vibe coding workflows and building infrastructures. Some are incredible at AI visual effects and AI cinematography. And some are just maestros at composition and world-building. And of course, many of us dip into all facets. We are witnessing the emergence of new creative and technical roles that didn't exist yesterday, and that's very exciting. And now we are starting to see the benefits of AI as an additive to existing workflows. I hope to work with many of you for the upcoming productions we have in the works at Promise.

As always everyone is blind staring at the progress of LLMs for coding and chat But meanwhile the new SOTA video model Seedance 2.5 has been slowly rolling out and it's really quite exceptional It's made by ByteDance (TikTok) who of course have lots of training data With just a few reference pics, it can get quite close to how you look IRL and you can do quite professional video shots with just a prompt I'd say it's the first video model that's now at the level of image models with the level of character likeness, cracking that in image models also took about 3 years (2022-2025) Generating 15 seconds takes about 4 minutes I put it live now on Photo AI, you can use it under [ Make video ] from the sidebar with just a prompt and your model selected! So you don't need to take an AI photo first and then turn that into a video! Saves lots of time :D It's more expensive than but I kept the credits the same (30 for 1 video) It also works inside the new video editor and you can make changes in your video with [ Magic edit ] in both the main app and the video editor Also a message for my server guy Daniel Lockyer (it can do voice too and you can even submit a voice sample of yourself, but I didn't here)
