There are three doors a child walks through that will determine their future: the front door of the home, the front door of the school, and the front door of the place of worship. When those doors are aligned, a child can thrive. We don’t need another commission to...

Rahm Emanuel is now out here preaching phonics? He sounds like a Mom For Liberty. Convenient. This is the same Rahm who, as mayor, oversaw the largest mass school closing in U.S. history; 50 schools, overwhelmingly in Black neighborhoods. Then he spent years selling the graduation-rate bump while violence and community disruption was the story most Chicagoans actually lived. Same guy who, as ambassador, decided Japan needed a lecture on LGBTQ rights, same-sex marriage, and Pride parades, while Japanese conservatives told him to stay in his lane. He was fine exporting the very woke he now denounces. Now the bathrooms-and-pronouns talk is suddenly a “distraction,” Democrats have “lost the plot,” and the model is a red-state phonics program. The timing lines up with a 2028 Presidential run. Hell no. You don’t get to torch the city, lecture another country on culture, then pivot to Republican education talking points and expect a clean slate. Parents like me have been demonized by his own party for advocating on the education issue for years. We KNOW kids should learn to read instead of being indoctrinated and groomed. That’s not the argument. The argument is that Rahm doesn’t get to rewrite the last fifteen years because the polls shifted.

You talk a good game. What success did you have in Chicago against the @CTULocal1? What a joke they are, failing those they are supposed to educate.

The problem is all the people who have spewed moderate rhetoric in the past whether it be Mikie Sherrill from New Jersey or Abigail Spanberger from Virginia, they’ve all presented a moderate face before they were elected and after they were elected, they move to increase regulations increase taxes and roll back any type of good work that for example, Glenn Young and the governor of Virginia had done simply to be contrarian reactionaries. What is the say after you were elected you won’t be dancing to the tune of Alex Soros AOC and Bernie Sanders?

Sounds good, Rahm. Yet your own Democrat party and the Chicago Teachers Union have nothing to do with what you just outlined. And never will.

Rahm… Speaking as a former elected school board member, I would humbly request that you take on the teacher unions… directly. These union leaders are a MASSIVE obstacle to moving forward with wonderful ideas like yours. You are a breath of fresh air and offer common sense solutions in contrast to the far Left in the Democratic Party. Thank you.

Go away! You are unelectable. Plus, you are short and ugly. Nobody wants to see your ugly face on TV as the president of the United States.

No plan to “fix” the educational system can succeed without massive cuts to the administrative bloat and non-educational support functions that drain the resources available for actual learning. You know that. You also know why. Most people do. But nobody has the courage to do what must be done. (Think NIMBY mindset). Fortunately it looks like AI may be the catalyst that finally starts unwinding this perpetual boondoggle. Cheers!

Guess what not everyone wants their kids to be brainwashed by so called religions. Religions have been responsible for centuries of war. What influences a child are the parents or teachers that teach humility, the importance of education and love. You will never be President.

You Democrats live in a separate reality than truth. Gas in red states is a lot cheaper than blue states! Mid to low $3 range in Florida. Red states are doing great compared to blue states. Iran was necessary. 100%. No terrorist supporting country such as Iran and its radical regime can have a nuclear weapon. Hell No! Ballistic missiles reaching more than 2500 miles they proved a few short months ago. No way. Bully of the middle east and its main goal is death to western world. Only agreement is public schools. However, school choice is excellent option for parents and children.

There is no federal answer. As you noted, the answer lies with the states. Go back to Illinois and help them figure it out.

@AAC0519 Give it a rest. Our failing schools are a wholly owned subsidiary of the Democratic Party which in turn is owned by the teachers unions who donate almost exclusively to Democrats. There is zero chance you will do what’s necessary to fix them.

Aligning public schools with place of worship sounds like establishment to me. And what about broken homes? I like you Rahm and I would vote for you for President, but I don't think your alignment metaphor is particularly helpful. Education should emphasize critical thinking driven curricula-how to reason-over ideologically driven curricula-what to think. #Hyperpartisanship
