The whole surge of ICE agents is a sham. Susan Collins just called up Noem and got her to scale back ICE’s presence because they all know how bad it looks for them and she’s in a tough race. It’s nakedly partisan. Homan is far better than Bovino and Noem. It’s certainly good news that 700 agents left. But they did it because Americans hate what’s going on, not because there’s been a real change of heart.

Source on the ground in Texas who is participating in search and recovery in Hunt, Texas sent me this video. They told me they were just at the command post and overheard on the radio that rescuers have found another dead body. Bodies are being recovered about every 30 minutes. Officials have not officially said it’s a recovery phase, but it is now a recovery phase. It is highly unlikely they will find any more people alive from what my source on the ground who is involved in recovery efforts just told me.
