I genuinely want an explanation for this. SCAM run by IRCTC For the same train, same class (2AC), and the same date (9th), IRCTC shows a fare of ₹3,780 with a dynamic charge of ₹521. When I move across dates and come back to the exact same journey, the fare drops to around ₹3,505 while the dynamic charge suddenly falls to ₹261. If a seat is sold with a ₹261 dynamic charge, why was a higher dynamic charge being shown moments earlier for the same availability? Dynamic pricing is supposed to reflect demand, not behave like a slot machine. Ye Can Ministry of Railways and IRCTC explain how passengers are expected to trust fare calculations when the same seat appears to attract different dynamic charges within minutes? Passengers deserve transparency, not a pricing black box. And I'm really stunned to see that for the 60-day advance reservation the price is, at one instance, shown without dynamic fare & In the other instance when I switch between previous day and next day, the prices are again inflated. This is absolutely ridiculous. Just before people tell me that I should be checking on the app, the same behavior is on the app as well. I'm saying the same behavior on the desktop website of IRCTC. I prefer traveling in Third AC now , and not because of comfort, but because of safety concerns. Earlier, such harassment was mostly limited to Sleeper and General coaches, where groups of transgender individuals would often create uncomfortable situations for passengers. But now, the situation has worsened they are entering Third AC coaches as well and troubling people without hesitation. Passengers pay full fare expecting a safe and peaceful journey, not to be left dealing with harassment on their own. Dear Nigeria Railway Corporation (NIGERIAN RAILWAY CORPORATION), I must commend your professionalism and I have enjoyed your services using the train from Lagos to Ibadan and Abuja to Kaduna. Since I discovered the Lagos to Ibadan train, I have reduced my road trips from Lagos to Ibadan by 5%. On the few occasions when I opted to use the road, it was because there were no night journeys. I think if the Corporation can adopt night journey through the Lagos to Ibadan route, Nigerians can comfortably live in Ibadan and travel to Lagos daily to work. This will decongest the population in Lagos. However, this is not where I am going. You need to improve your services, passengers should be able to edit their tickets and change their travel schedules. A lot of times, my schedule will change after buying a train ticket. Unfortunately, the ticket can't be opened or rescheduled for another date or time. No refund policy, I agree with this, but ticket(s) booked should be open for amendment. You need to improve your backend and invest more in your IT to ensure that passengers enjoy the flexibility of your services. Passengers should be able to use their ticket(s) if their schedule changes possibly inserting a change period (timeframe). I'm an apostle of the train services and I implore people to experience it. Safe, comfortable, and fun.
