There was not even enough space to walk to the washroom. People were sleeping on the floor, near the doors, and everywhere possible. The TC came and saw everything, but did not say a single word. It looks like this has become normal for Indian Railways. I have sympathy for these passengers, but if Railways already know that general coach passengers are more, then why not add more general coaches? Why are sleeper coaches being turned into general coaches every day? For years, passengers have been raising the same issue, posting photos and videos, tagging officials, and still nothing changes. Indian Railways talks about modernization and new trains, but what about basic crowd management and passenger safety in normal trains? And please, do not ask me for the PNR. Asking for the PNR will not solve this issue. This is not one passenger’s problem. This is the daily reality of thousands of people.

No railway authority even seemed bothered to address the situation. The train coach is infested with a large number of cockroaches, causing serious inconvenience and distress to passengers. Such conditions are unacceptable and a direct threat to hygiene and public health. We demand a thorough investigation into this matter, strict punishment for those responsible, and immediate cancellation of the vendor’s licence. Just because someone claims to be a railway employee does not give them the right to break the law or endanger the health and safety of other passengers.
