There is something obviously wrong with JAMB system and their current vendors needs to be replaced. This is now a national threat to thousands of students. I have been getting several reports from students but this orphan Basola Jamiu Owodunni hit me differently. After graduating with CGPA of 4.41... studying civil engineering in FUTA, he is being threatened by JAMB that his admission was fake. He spent whooping 7 years (5 normal and 2 years ASUU strike) in school. He is now denied NYSC and other things. I am taking his case very personal. An orphaned poor boy, hustling from one building construction site to another to make ends meet to support his academic career. An academic frontier in his school fellowship rendering tutorials and academic counselling to other student...Graduated, by hope, pain, sweat. Should JAMB come up from nowhere with a false and complicated allegation that he had "Fake Admission", if so why must his personal JAMB portal be closed making it even hard to retrieve his admission history with them.show more

This Jamb needs to be scrapped asap. People should be able to apply to any university of their choice with good O levels results, write the university’s entrance exams and gain admission if they pass. Both Jamb and NYSC should go

It’s obvious that JAMB doesn’t have a well put together database of all the candidates who took the exams decade by decade, why the rush in first denying that you didn’t issue the result that gave him admission without properly checking whether you sent the result to his school?

I can relate to this story cos I experienced something similar. JAMB denying your admission after 4-6 years, & deleting ur data from their database so u can't verify. JAMB has a serious problem, it needs overhauling. May God help this young man and others in similar situations.

This man man had bought his son an iPad for Christmas. One day while visiting his son tells him that his brother keeps taking his iPad and doesn’t let him use it. The man was upset and he knows even though the other child isn’t his, he feels like he needs to speak up and set an example. He works hard to support his child and he provides for him very well. He doesn’t feel bad that the other kid’s in the house’s father’s don’t do anything for their kids, it’s not his concern. Is he wrong for talking to the other child like this, is he just looking out for his own kid, or is he being selfish and should have a little compassion because it’s not the other child’s fault their father isn’t providing for them as he should?

5 years ago I went to visit Terrence who had spent 20 Christmases on his own. He really struggled with loneliness but started volunteering with Age UK in 2014 and it changed his life. I caught up with Terrence again this week. He is 83 now and still going strong but struggling with his health and dealing with a lot of pain. The good news is, a few weeks ago he got his award for 10 years of service at Age UK🎯 He is spending the 25th December with his friend Andrew this year and wants to wish everyone a great Christmas. Loneliness remains a huge problem for hundreds and thousands of people in the UK. What I learned from Terrence is that if we all looked out for a neighbour who is on their own we have the ability to make a massive difference ❤️🎄

💙💛 Fellas, can I get some good wishes for a kid from Ukraine who just graduated high school in the US with honors? I went to the high school graduation of one of my best friend’s sons this afternoon. I've known his mom for most of my life or to be precise, since I was seven and she was six. We were in the same class in Ukraine. We used to hang out every time I went back to Ukraine. Her son Alex is four years older than my son, but they have always had the best time together. After the full-scale invasion, I brought her and Alex to the US. It was in the summer of 2022. Alex was very traumatized and flinched every time he heard an ambulance or a fire truck's sirens. He started high school that fall. Four years later, he graduated with honors after taking all AP classes and getting a nearly perfect score on his SATs. Now he’s going to my alma mater to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering! Please leave him a nice message! I'm going to print them out for him because it was just his mom and me at his graduation and he needs to know that people everywhere support Ukrainians.

This mother received a text from her son that their was an active shooter at his school. She called her husband who had their young daughter with him and had just left and he came back home. He went inside and grabbed his weapon and headed to the school. Dad was on his way to save everyone's babies not just his own. This is why my kids will always have their phones in school. They need to be able report an emergency and be able to get a hold of mom and dad at a moment's notice. Can't imagine getting that text from one of my kids. Sad that families have to deal with this madness. We know cell phones can be a distraction and be bad but do you think kids should be allowed to have their cell phones at all times, if not for this very reason right here?

VDM live Peller texted me and pleaded with me to attend his wedding with Jarvis. He begged repeatedly. However, I declined. I have several reasons for doing so. To me, Peller is like a younger brother, but I can't attend this wedding. I have serious concerns. The wedding appears to be poorly organized and feels forced. If I were in the position of his father or mother, I would have cancelled the marriage immediately. This should never have happened. I strongly disapprove of the way things are unfolding right now. If he had invited me to his school matriculation, I would have been there without hesitation. But as far as his marriage is concerned, my answer is a no. Honestly, I wanted to send him a gift, but I can't. I hope he understands that I must stand by my convictions and principles I'm not h@ting but speaking fact.
