There isn’t a single line of SwiftUI here, this is a pure UIKit implementation on iOS 18. A fully custom navigation bar that hooks into the nearest UIScrollView to show the scroll-edge effect only once the user starts scrolling. Buttons are fully custom and display a nice brightness effect...

Swapped our custom tab bar for Apple's real iOS 26 Liquid Glass, fully native, not a React Native re-creation… Powered by Expo Router's native tabs, this renders through UIKit itself, so it gets the actual system blur, materials, and scroll behavior straight from the OS… Scroll down and watch the bar shrink into just the active icon…

Found that In iOS 27, adding the “matchedTransitionSource” modifier before applying a glass effect modifier will result in the same transition as a menu-style morphing effect! Full Implementation With Custom Tab Bar: NOTES: Video 2: Applying transition source modifier before the glass effect. Video 3: Applying transition source modifier after the glass effect. Tested on Xcode 27 Beta 5 (iOS 27 Beta 5)

After updating 𝕏 on iOS: The navigation bar at the bottom hides when scrolling down Are you a fan of this change? 🧐

SwiftUI introduced a new modifier on iOS 26+ that essentially removes the thumb from the Slider and transforms it into a draggable progress bar. Currently, there’s no way to adjust the size of the progress bar. However, by using the scale and other modifiers, we can create a progress bar that is similar to the iOS Volume slider! Modifier: sliderThumbVisibility()

The sound effect of getting slammed is so on point and really feels like a Tom and Jerry chase scene How did that Strv go on the roof?! He looks so cute just chilling there Are custom battles always this chaotic? XD

In SwiftUI there is now a 0.2s delay before touches are shown in List, making the interaction feel broken. This delay is not there when the list is not scrollable. This affects *all* scrollable lists, and *all* navigation / buttons inside those lists (try it in your app too).

Be the detail you want to see in the world Custom hybrid UIKit gestures + SwiftUI for all the actual content - both reading/writing from a central observable variable store (not using vermont but a custom library I wrote that’s based off of simple closures and AsyncStream) for completely synced animations. Will share more publicly soon on how it’s built :-)

For everyone who is still stuck with an older version of CSP, there's a workaround to the crusty line issue of the border effect: Just use the magic wand and click into the empty area, then hit delete! This will smooth the effect ☺️

ClickUp is working on agents that build custom user interfaces on the fly. > Agents can build custom interactive blocks, with buttons, editable fields, and embedded charts. > Agents decide what the user needs to see and construct an interactive experience in real time. > Clicking or editing inside a generated block can fire an action directly. Agents will be able to create a working code block that responds to users' input, built in the moment for the task at hand.

I think there is a bug that makes the romantic interactions turn the romance bar fully red after a romantic interaction.. because why do my sims have full compatibility, etc but the bar goes from pink to empty and then fills up to fully red within seconds? 😭😭

(Mario) The Music Box RESET Since I am dedicating most of my time to fully animate this intro, I might as well post a little preview of the fully custom song. I am keeping the animation a surprise though.🫶 The amazing Music and Vocals by @/ThaiMcGrath

The gold standard fluid interactions on iOS are built using in-process client animations (like SwiftUI does it) and not render-server animations (like CoreAnimation does it). This is common knowledge inside of Apple’s UI framework and system experience teams. A close inspection of iOS’s evolution reveals the gradual upgrading of system experiences written using render-server animations (that often disable user interaction) with ones using client animations (that are interruptible and interactive). The app switcher for iPhone X, the Dynamic Island, and Liquid Glass bars are prime examples of this trend. The other thing that makes these experiences feel so fluid is their use of spring animations that preserve velocity, rather than Bézier curve easing functions. To get velocity preservation, you need to be able to interrupt a spring animation and retarget it or drive it with a gesture. That’s a lot easier to do when the animation is running in the same process as the event handling. When we were first pitching SwiftUI, two of our go-to demos were a recreation of the iOS 9 navigation and Home Screen interactions which were fully interactive and interruptible, at a time when the actual implementations of those experiences in the OS disabled user interaction and ran server-side animations. CoreAnimation is great and the framework does much more than animation. You can build a fine app using its server-side animations. But if your UI framework can’t do efficient main thread client animations, there’s a ceiling to the quality of the experience your app can provide.

This is a huge deal! Building a U.S. base on the moon will allow us easier access to the vast resources and knowledge of outer space. Isaacman is doing a great job. You don’t cut corners when American lives are on the line. Build it the right way, test it fully, and then go!

One of the coolest things about Samsung’s Frame Pro TV that further enhances the effect that it’s a painting is that when you get the remote and turn the TV on, sometimes it just doesn’t and keeps displaying art. Pretty cool effect!

SplitPaneKit This is something I've wanted to componentize for a while. We've seen this pattern appear in a few apps now, I even use it at Abode. It has a couple "gotcha" moments with performance and optimisation while animating separate or child views with the drag and translation of the split views, handling breakpoints etc, I thought I'd put it into a nice package. I actually made quite a few optimisations from how I handle this with Abode in this package. So might need to implement it over there😅 As before, right now its UIKit only, but SwiftUI host will likely come over the next few days as I make improvements and final changes to the initial API from feedback. - Draggable split-pane interface - Custom breakpoints or built-in presets - Scroll view integration - drag from content or handle - Coordinated animations with pan-effecting views - UIKit

A demo of Turbo 8 with morphing: · the part with the red border is updated from a background job · only the contents within the red border box are replaced · when deleting records, scroll is preserved · this is a plain destroy action with redirect_to and flash · no custom js, no extra turbo streams whatsoever #rails #rubyonrails #hotwire
