But Canada also has insane environmental restrictions and even worse government leaders. The same reason people would prefer to do business in South Dakota than New York state. Govt doesn't really want the biz w/o being able to dictate everything they do and how they do it.

if anybody should have free trade, it should be Canada and the United States. We totally compliment one another. We’ve always worked together since pre-confederation after the war of 1812 there is no benefit for us to be adversarial.

The president is supposed to be a cheerleader. He knows there's a lot of volatility. He's telling them, "Look, the market's corrected 20%, and it's a good time to buy." The one thing I know is 50% of the population has Trump derangement syndrome, and that's not gonna change. We should be spending our time worried about the country, not about throwing Trump in jail all the time. They already tried that last year or last four years, didn't work. The guy is the president of the United States. Get over it. My goodness, what a waste of energy. I don't think he's manipulating the stock market. I think he's driving policy, particularly on China with its extraordinary tariffs and causing a lot of angst around the world, not just domestically. Trump is saying to everybody, "Look, hang in there. I'm trying to get something done that no one's been able to do, and there's gonna be volatility, and you should be optimistic on America." That's my read of it.

My take on it all is the average Canadian is not that stupid, and they understand the importance of having economic ties with US and many countries around the world. To say that we're not going to do business with a country that, traditionally for over a hundred years bought 75% of our output, that's sheer stupidity. That has to be worked out, and to me, it's just a giant NAFTA 3 negotiation. If you think Trump doesn't like Pierre, well, then you want Pierre because he would be the stronger negotiator. But he's also conservative, so is the American government. It's not about one individual or another at the end of the day, and this is why Canadians, I think, are gonna figure this out in this election. It's about the policy, the policies of the countries. Is it pro-business? Is it pro-growth? Is it pro-energy? All of these things matter. Canada has fallen to the bottom through poor policy. Now, do you want more of that? Because that's what it sounds like you're getting if you vote for Carney. You get more. It's just Trudeau 2.0.

What's happening in Canada is very similar to what happened just a few months ago in the United States. There's a sweep towards common sense and the Canadians are pretty frustrated because their economy was absolutely decimated by every metric you can measure. Carney has to go convince Canadians that he's brand new and the Liberals should stay in power. It's really hard for Carney to come out and say, don't worry, I'll fix all this, and we'll just keep all the Liberal policies, including carbon tax, in place." I don't think it's gonna work. We'll see what happens, but most likely, he loses to the Conservatives who want to get a spatula and scrape everything out of there, which is what Trump said. So it's the same kind of momentum that's occurring.

There is no way that's going to happen. But if you wanna be tough and sound important and you're trying to get elected as the only person that can save every Canadian from the evil Trump, that's exactly what you say. I think everybody's better off if we get to reciprocal tariffs of zero. The countries you care about and wanna do business with end up with zero tariffs and you support a free trade mandate. It's very hard to see that outcome in the cloud we're in right now and all the rhetoric and jawboning.

There's a principle I keep coming back to… the bottleneck theory. Find whatever is standing between the world and where it's trying to get to, and that's where the capital floods. Because the universe is solving for intelligence per unit of energy, and it will clear every roadblock in the way to get there. Right now that bottleneck is power. So that's where the money is going. But bottlenecks move. Solve one and the next one lights up, which is why you don't get one thing running forever. You get rotations. It won't always be Nvidia. And here's the part the market hasn't worked out yet. The whole agent economy is still unpriced. For all of history the addressable market was humans. Now it's infinite.

This narrative has been going since the year 2000 when China entered the WTO. The problem is they don't play by the rules. These companies who are doing business there are finding all kinds of problems, although they really want access to that massive market. There's no question about that. It's just their IP gets stolen all the time. They can't litigate when they have a dispute. There's no way to resolve it. The Chinese use the American courts to litigate their interests here and in the US, and many other things they do here. So a lot of this discussion is to try and balance the playing field, and one would hope that could happen, but it never has. That's why Trump is using tariffs to trying to squeeze them into submission. We'll see what the next round looks like.

There's a very negative relationship there and it's just gotten worse because Trudeau has been putting out posts stirring up anti-Trump sentiment. And so Trump keeps going with, let's buy it as the 51st state. That has made Canadians crazy. The truth is that that is not being discussed at all. That's not part of the actual narrative that's occurring in Washington, D.C.. Premiers in Canada are down with their teams trying to focus on a new deal, if you want to call it NAFTA III. I’d rather be on the US side on this one because the truth is, there are other solutions for rare earth minerals and resources, and it's called Canada. We got to resolve that problem. There shouldn't be any tiff with them. They've got everything that, that the North American market needs, including energy, a massive amount of energy. We should do that deal and show China that we have everything we need in the world's largest economy under democracy. Don't mess with us! You think about these economies put together in a cooperative way, it's a massive opportunity. The Canadians have an election in less than two weeks. They'll resolve with a new prime minister and he'll come back to Washington. We'll work it out.

This was at La Jolla Cove in La Jolla California. These people are swimming at the Cove but there is a good amount of Sea lions there. 😳 You can see one of the Sea lions almost run over a kid as it is trying to get back in the water and you can hear a voice over the loudspeaker telling people to please keep their distance from all the Sea lions. People argued about this saying that little beach was always meant for kids to swim at and has been that way for 40 years. But many others said that it has obviously changed and now we have Sea lions there and they should leave those Sea lions in peace and go find another beach. To me, the ocean, that is their home. There are plenty of other beaches to use. The people should be the ones to move, not the Sea lions. 💯 What is your opinion? Should they just keep it the way it is, let people around the Sea lions or should they close this small beach cove to the public in order to allow the Sea lions to be in peace?
