There were about 10 cats in the family's apartment, said Iryna, a friend of the killed woman. Rescuers found four dead pets. One more cat was found alive but badly burned under the windows of the destroyed residential building. He was probably thrown out of the window by the blast wave. The cat was taken to the clinic with burns to the greater part of his body and lung damage.
