But even as the war continues, Russia is rearming and reconstituting its armed forces and industrial base. Even in the event of a peace deal in Ukraine—which we are all working hard to achieve—Russia’s rearmament would likely only accelerate. The wider danger to Europe would not end there; it would increase. So we must respond to this threat in full.

Reflecting on the 2022 and 2025 federal elections, we must learn and stop wasting resources on hopes and dreams. Minor parties are clearly not the answer…and I’m done pretending. This is not our choice. They failed to consolidate into one party, so we have to move on to a new strategy.

We must all recognize that Putin will attempt to thwart this effort and weaken Ukrainian positions through various manipulations and the power of his terrorist strikes.
