And it was 22 years after Juneteenth, on Aug. 15, 1887, that former slaves founded Eatonville – "the Town the Freedom Built.” Today, I’m excited to join Eatonville Mayor Ruthi Critton to celebrate that freedom and to continue the fight for true justice and equality for all. Happy Juneteenth!
