REPORTER: Following that shooting at Florida State University, is there any changes that you want to see with gun legislation? TRUMP: I have a, an obligation to protect the Second Amendment. I ran on the Second Amendment among many other things, and I will always protect the Second Amendment….I'm a big advocate of the Second Amendment. I have been from the beginning, I protected it and these things are terrible, but the gun doesn't do the shooting, the people do.

Butler, PA—Elon Musk at Donald J. Trump rally: “Free speech is the bedrock of democracy. If people don’t know the truth, if you don’t know what’s going on, how can you make an informed vote? You must have free speech in order to to have a democracy—that’s why it’s the first amendment! …and the second amendment is there to ensure that we have the first amendment!”

They’ve taken it away for vaccines. If you get hurt, you can’t sue for vaccines. They’re trying to take it away for pesticides. They’re trying to take it away for these data centers. NO!”

BASH: “So are you saying it's not okay for him to exercise his Second Amendment right – not to mention his First Amendment right to be there in the first place – but his Second Amendment right to carry a gun? And if you do, you can be shot by federal law enforcement?” BOVINO: "No, I didn't say that, Dana. I never said that. What I'm saying is we respect that Second Amendment right. But those rights don't count when you riot and assault, delay, obstruct and impede law enforcement officers."
