The 250k woefully underestimates the number of people as this was the figure available pre-pandemic. And IMO, every time ME is talked about, we should also talk about prevention. 4.3% of c19 cases lead to ME symptoms for at least 12 months (that's as far as the study measured).

This stagnant 250,000 people affected across the UK, really grinds my gears. This number hasn’t moved since the 80s. 😡 Raging every time I hear this number.🤬

ME/fibromyalgia/CFS for 20 years before Covid. Caught Covid at beginning of UK outbreak. Developed long covid which added symptoms like breathlessness to existing disease. First vaccine cured me completely of all disease but unfortunately that effect wore off.
