Marc Andreessen: Elon inspires incredible loyalty from his employees because they know he'll just sit all night with them to fix a problem. “Elon actually delegates almost everything. He's involved in the thing that is the biggest problem right now until that thing is fixed. And then, he doesn't have to be involved in it anymore, he can go focus on the next thing that's the biggest problem for that company right now. The job number one is to remove that bottleneck and get everything flowing again. I think Elon basically has universalized that concept and he basically looks at every company like it's some sort of conceptual assembly line. When he identifies the bottleneck, he goes and he talks to the line engineers who understand the technical nature of the bottleneck. If it's people on a manufacturing line, he's talking to people directly on the line. Or if that's people in a software development group, he's talking to the people actually writing the code. He's not asking the VP of Engineering to ask the Director of Engineering to ask the manager to ask the individual contributor to write a report that's to be reviewed in three weeks. He doesn't do that. He would throw them all out of the window. There's just no way he would do that. Jason Day was asked ahead of The Masters whether he has any empathy for what Tiger Woods is going through and he gave a brilliant answer that a lot of people can probably agree with: “So yeah, in regards to Tiger, it just shows the human element and the human side of someone that is struggling with some sort of an addiction. He's not immune to it just because he can hit a golf ball really well. He's had 25 to 30 something surgeries, and when you're going through that many procedures, it's painful coming out of those procedures. I've had procedures done and I typically try and stay away from all that stuff because I just know that -- painkillers, there can potentially be a downfall to it. “Granted, when I look at that, I look at it and go, he's just a human being like everyone else and we have struggles. It's unfortunate, the only thing that I don't understand is that it's a little bit selfish of him to drive and put other people in harm's way, as well. “But when you're the player that he was and how strong-willed he is, he thinks he can do almost anything, and that's probably why he's probably driving and a little bit under the influence. “He was my hero -- he's my hero. He was my hero growing up. The reason why I play golf is because of this tournament and Tiger. It's hard to see him go through what he's going through, and especially under the microscope that -- it must be hard to be who he is and have everything, everyone look on, kind of down on him. “Some people want him to fail. Exactly, it's obvious that the writers are more inclined to Lisa and see all the rest of the family as lovers when, realistically, Bart has bigger chances of success than her. Bart is shown to be able to socialize, think strategically, is charismatic, be a leader of hundreds of others his age and younger, and make profitable businesses on the fly. Not to mention is military prowess he clearly got from Abe. Meanwhile, LISA BARELY HAS FRIENDS AND IS A CLEAR PSYCHOPATH! Hell, Bart is probably smarter than Lisa he's just not driven, I mean he has not only memorized the school's exact coordinates in mind but managed to do the math of distance to hit the target on spot... that's insane.

Warren Buffett on the number one rule for life: Asked about the most important advice he gives, Buffett doesn't reach for anything about investing, business, or money. He reaches for something 2,000 years old. "The number one rule I give him is just the golden rule. I'm not a religious guy, but nobody said it any better in a couple thousand years than that.
