We can now accurately simulate a robot folding boxes in real time—for an impressive one minute and 46 seconds. The secret to bridging the sim-to-real gap? A mix of modern digital-twin toolkits and some good old elastoplastic theory. This Friday at the IROS RoDGE Workshop, Heng Zhang will be presenting his internship project "BoxTwin" at SceniX.
