There’s deep satisfaction in watching a true bricklayer at work. Smooth trowel sweeps, precise brick placement, and that gentle tap for perfect level. Course by course, a solid wall rises. Real craftsmanship.

Here’s a slow motion video of Optimus practicing Kung Fu. Watch how smooth and precise the moves are, almost like a human. What makes it even more incredible is that every move is controlled by AI in real-time.

There’s been a few times in the last 3 weeks when Rory McIlory has dropped his daughter at school, flown to Augusta, played a practice round and returned in time for dinner. If that sounds like a man who’s comfortable at this golf course, well, that’s because he is. An essay:

This mindset is the key to success: In 2002, Charlie Rose interviewed Will Smith on his television show. During the interview, he tells a story from his childhood about his father asking him and his little brother to rebuild a 16x30 wall on the front of his shop. The task was understandably daunting for the two boys: "I remember standing back looking at that wall saying, there's gonna be a hole here, forever." But a year and a half of daily work later, they completed the wall. Reflecting on the experience, Will Smith offered a piece of timeless wisdom: "You don't try to build a wall...You don’t start by saying, I’m going to build the biggest, baddest wall that’s ever been built. You say, I’m going to lay this brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid...you do that every single day, and soon you have a wall." This is a powerful reminder for life: No matter how big the task or project may seem at the start, you just have to lay one brick. The wall may be daunting, but today's brick is all that matters. Extraordinary results are simply the macro result of tens, hundreds, or thousands of tiny daily actions. Remember: Small things become big things. So today and all days, let's lay one brick as perfectly as a brick can be laid...

People wonder why IVE is a top girl group?!? It’s because in a kpop era characterized by slop - this is the sheer level of song and performance they deliver AT THEIR WEAKEST. Their ‘flops’ are still full course fucking meals.

People say there’s a huge gap between simulation and reality—especially when you run the simulation for a long time. That’s generally true… but we’re excited to share that we’ve taken a solid step toward closing that gap. We can now accurately simulate a robot folding boxes in real time—for an impressive one minute and 46 seconds. The secret to bridging the sim-to-real gap? A mix of modern digital-twin toolkits and some good old elastoplastic theory. This Friday at the IROS RoDGE Workshop, Heng Zhang will be presenting his internship project "BoxTwin" at SceniX. Joint work with: Gehan, Sonny, Yunzhu Li, Changxi, and Co.

🗣️ Martin Odegaard on Arsenal wanting even more this season “Yeah, for sure. We wanted to show our level. Of course, last year we won the league, but this year we want more. “There’s a lot more to play for. We want to do it again in the league, obviously, and then there are the other trophies as well. “There’s a lot to work for and still a lot of room for improvement. So yeah, we’re ready and we’re going to go for it.”
