There’s something very profound about this… Gene Hackman is over 70 years old here—wealthy, famous, with every award an actor could want. How many macho characters has he played? Some might not expect him to be so fragile about something that happened decades ago. And yet, he still gets choked up when talking about his father abandoning him and his family when he was just 13. Because the truth is, parental abandonment doesn’t feel like something that happened in the past. It feels painfully present—no matter how much time has passed. It’s a reminder that success and external achievements can’t heal the pain a parent can cause.

🥜: Hong has his own vibe. On his hyper days he is wildly hyper and talks a ton. But on days when he has to wake up early he goes completely silent just disappears like he disconnected or left the group chat. He's just gone. There was this one day we had an early morning flight to go abroad, and it felt like Hong wasn't even there with us. He became thin air, like he was just slowly fading away. 💬: Really? 🥜: Yeah his energy is so low when he wakes up early. But when he's hyped up he goes all out. 💬: How extreme does he get when he's hyped? 🥜: He talks a lot! He always has his stories. And when he tells them it’s so fun to listen to. You know what I mean? He's super extra and full of emotion. He's a really good storyteller. 💬: Is it fun only for him? 🥜: No it's fun for everyone else too. 💬: Are you guys just spoiling him? 🥜: No he just starts going "Ah-tu-tu-tu-tu”and his tongue gets all twisted. This baby skunk has the cutest little attitude! He’s perfectly content and sleepy when being held and petted… but the second his owner puts him down, he wakes up and throws the most dramatic (and adorable) little tantrum until he gets picked up again. Then he immediately curls up into a happy ball and goes right back to sleep. The cycle repeats and it never gets old 🥰
